No, Friday is my ice cream day, and I had French Vanilla frozen yogurt yesterday.

For dessert tonight at the restaurants, I had peanuts. (It was one of those steakhouses where you get peanuts at the table and can throw the shells on the floor. Not real classy but very southern.

Well I had ice cream today! I was a very bad boy and bought some Breyer's VERY CHOCOLATE CHERRY ice cream...I was buying some low carb ice cream, which tastes just fine, but the flavors are limited...and then I saw all the pink and chocolate on the other ice cream box and thoughts of high blood sugar simply disappeared from my brain! LOL!

And man is it good!

But aside from that, and the Chinese food...which is high in carbs...I have been doing good...sort of.

Well, I have a couple of things take care of before heading to bed.  -There's this pile of assorted papers and mail that's been building up all week... And I had originally planned to go through it this morning, but...  It shouldn't take long.  It just needs to get done before the pile get any bigger.

I also need to be in bed before 3:00AM tonight!  I need to be up sort of early to run some errands before heading in for the matinee.  And then after the evening show, I'm heading down to Richmond for the night/day on Monday.

In other words, tomorrow is going to be a long day for me.  So...

On a sort of sad note, we're losing one of our cast members, Kevin Burrows, to the national tour of Spamalot after tomorrow night's show.  Although we will sorely miss him, we wish him well - and congratulate him for getting such a great gig.  Our male swing will be going on for a few shows this week, but then our newest cast member should be on stage by Thursday night.  -And, yes, he will be coming in Monday and learning the show in just about ten hours of rehearsal!  -But he's more than up to the task, and he was also one of our "finalists" from the initial NYC auditions.

Christmas has officially finished!! Our last "Christmas" function was held today - a group of close friends who meet each year at this time - less pressure!!
Now to start the New Year.

Just caught a bit of THE BIG LIFT with Montgomery Clift on our PBS. Should they have called it the BIG CLIFT?

I feel this is a severely underrated movie. Great views of postwar Berlin, unpredictable plot, acute political discussions. This movie is, I believe, in the public domain, so easily obtainable for cheap.
