'24' had another exceptional two hours of excitement, thrills, and surprises. Unquestionably, among the best shows on TV and certainly one of my favorites.

And because they start their season in January, no reruns.

Sean Astin began his recurring role on '24' in tonight's second hour. He was very effective.

Alas, DR MBarnum, no more Matt Battaglia.

CSI: MIAMI repeated one of my favorite episodes of the season with Horatio (David Caruso) facing his nemesis Resden. (He also has a running battle with IAB head Stetler who was also in the episode causing trouble for him.)

I didn't realize that CBS was having an all rerun night, so I went back and deleted the CBS comedies I had set the DVR to record. New episodes next week, however.

I have a few things to take care of before bed, so I'll head downstairs now.

Good evening, everyone!

The acceptance speech from the winner for best actress in a drama was really funny!  And she was in a fabulous bright red dress! ;)

We did not watch the awards show. Instead, we watched two episodes of "Cash Cab" and two episodes of "The Vicar of Dibley."

You know, reviews are amusing - one really can't pay too much attention to either good OR bad.  If I paid attention to the two raves, I'd get all cocky and think "hot stuff" - I'm glad they "got" the play and really enjoyed it.  And I can't get all bothered because someone else didn't.  Nor can I panic and start changing everything.  I'm happy with the piece for the most part and feel it does what I set out for it to do - it may not please everyone, but it pleases me and seems to be pleasing those who see it.

If we get a couple more decent ones, our investor is thinking about taking out a couple of larger ads in the Times and perhaps the LA Weekly.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers just won the "Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television" for his performance in "Elvis."

I didn't know that Eric Bana (presenting with Kate Beckensale for the above catagory and the female equivalent) was Australian.

Lesson learned today:

Some people are not easily taught sign language. Two people had homework for the weekend and one gal did very well and learned the basic signs.... The gal who is doing well with it is the lead. She also surprised me and watched the movie version with Marlee Matlin!

The other one, OH BOY.... I am exploring some ideas to convey what I am trying to get across to him. He understands a football and thinks sign langauge is the same concept.

BK, you have a Deceit cast member who has a birthday coming up during the run of the play...

I truly wish I could see it...

Gee, BK, you suggested my philosophy about reviews almost perfectly:  The ones who like me know what their talking about; the ones who don't are idiots.  It makes life so siimple.  Besides, I 'm my own worst critic.

"Brokeback Mountain" just won for best screenplay.  I didn't realize that The Golden Globes doesn't split out original screenplays and adapted screenplays.

Google is a wonderful invention....

I will not link the Connotator thread that it was in. For they are busy tearing apart the variety review. They are offended for they feel that the reviewer did not understand or catch the nuances.....

Eye Spy LA is a entertainment site where people can post reveiws..... Evidently this gal, attended and posted a nice reveiw....
