I just finished listening to the first disc/act of Dessa Rose. I really enjoy hearing the entire show with all of the dialogue and songs.

Miss Annette Funicello appeared with Mr Ed Wynn in BABES IN TOYLAND, she appeared with Mr Keenan Wynn in MUSCLE BEACH PARTY, and Keenan's son Ned Wynn appeared as one of the boys on the beach, most notably in BEACH BLANKET BINGO where he was dancing with a young lady whose bikini top was snapped off by Buster Keaton's fishing line.

My book group read "The Curious Incident Of The Dog in The Night TIme". It was very good and sad. TPunk you should really read it considering the career you are studying for.

DakotaCelt were the Red Panda’s beautiful? Did they move much? We saw the traditional black and white Panda’s at the San Diego Zoo during feeding time. They hardly moved to eat. We went for Keith’s mother’s 80th birthday so she could see the Panda’s. Better than the Panda’s were the playful Polar Bears. We had a great view of them above and under the water.

JMK like you Keith gets depressed at zoos and my mood fluctuates the entire time. We liked the Portland Zoo lights, just pretty lights no animals.

Jason I went to the Bronx Zoo since my friend wanted to go. I liked the squirrel, or rodent house, best. I enjoyed getting lots of exercise there.

Tomovoz, yes the Berne bear pit is very sad, but fascinating it is so old.

George the Northwest Trek Wildlife Park looks nice.

Since leaving the Peace Corps the only job Craig really wanted in Bucharest couldn’t wait for him to be free. Well the job just became available again. He called, went in and was hired on the spot.

DR Jane - my copy of the "The Wild Parrots Of Telegraph Hill" DVD arrived yesterday!! Have you seen it yet?
I'm way too lazy to check the last 14 days notes to check up on such things.

The above mentioned book by Peter Hoeg (of Miss Smilla fame) would have to be one of the most disturbing I have read. it appears to have been somewhat autobiographical. the "Curious Incident" is a reminder that we should read more books written for young adults and teenagers!

I've just heard too (I'm way out of the loop of such things) that the author of "Holes" has written another book featuring one of the characters from that story - "armpit".

Not sure I reported on Nilla after the trip to the vet. He's probably going to lose his teeth. But, they have to give him steroids to give him the required immunizations (he reacts to them terribly) so we're hoping that the shot will help.
