Actually Jason... I found this at this at the same site where I found these "useful" excercises for bk...

This however, may actually be useful:

Quote
The roots of Vedanta philosophy ask us to believe in ourselves and believe in God. Karma yoga, the yoga of action, is knowing your gift and using it. No one can force you to do what's not for you. In the Bhagvad Gita, Krishna tells Arjuna, "It is better to follow your own calling imperfectly than follow another's perfectly. If death should come while following your own path, this is surely better than living with the fear and anguish of following a false path." (3:35)

When we're forced to do something that is against our own nature, our soul is unhappy, there is no peace. When the soul is unhappy, pain begins to trouble the body as well. Rather than change your ways to conform with the world, you must eventually find a way to express your truth from your heart regardless of the world.

Does Dominos "do" a chocolate pizza?

No, but Papa John's does a cinnamon pizza that's amazing.

There's a Dunkin Donuts down the street...perhaps I should go pig out on bowties and blueberry cakes.

DR Jason - It's not a pizza, but here's a chocolate pie that's served by one of my favorite restaurants in Cincinnati.  My thoughts are with you.

Are there any plans to celebrate Mozart's 250th birthday tomorrow?

My God, I could eat a whole pile of that chocolate pie, Ginny. It looks amazing.

One of the things I hope to get out of therapy is an alternate to binge eating to make myself feel better. Until then, though, that pie looks really, REALLY good!

I was thinking about DR RODZINSKI's recent adventure:

Do you think if HE was backstage at a ballet - the conversation among the company would be about anything ELSE?

Well, for starters I just went upstairs and checked out this CD:

Pushing forward through the crowd, as if drawn to the figure in the hooded shirt and jeans, I hesitated to viticinate...it wasn't going to be good news.

I went back to Academy this afternoon, after my lunch. I haven't been in a while. Guess what was waiting for me when I arrived,

A Naxos CD of Gracie Fields, Looking on the Bright Side. We are big Gracie Fields fans. For those of you who don't know her, this site can give you some information (I'm sure Vixdad knows about her also)

Gracie Fields

I also found the recent DRG release of the 1986 Debbie Allen Sweet Charity

and my best purchase today is the hard-to-find 1964 London cast recording of Little Me with Bruce Forsyth and Swen Swenson (he's from the original cast). It has Rich Kids Rag which is not on the Broadway cast album.

I will be busy listening this afternoon. Go way, don't bother me  ;)

I have BIBBIDI BOBBIDI BACH. It's very interesting.

Happy birthday to Wolfy tomorrow! I think I'll listen to his Requiem again tonight. It seems appropriate, somehow, and I'll follow it up with "Regina Coeli."

That and "The Biggest Aspidistra in the World" make me laugh and laugh. I first heard that at my grandmother's oh so many years ago. It was on a 78 RPM (remember those?). My grandmother came over from Sheffield when she was 11 years old (in the early 1900s) and never got to go back for a visit but she kept her love of England strong.

I misspoke about Sweet Charity. It's the EMI original 1986 release with not a shred of notes or anything except a picture of Miss Allen and a track listing and small shots of various cast members, such as Michael Rupert.

and now some busy work for the masses:

Subject: Math Problem

1.       Grab a calculator.  (You won't be able to do this one in your head).

2.       Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area code).

3.       Multiply by 80.

4.       Add 1.

5.       Multiply by 250.

6.       Add the last 4 digits of your phone number.

7.       Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.

8.       Subtract 250.

9.       Divide number by 2.

Do you recognize the answer?

Jack, don't know if you're interested but here is a Web site with the lyrics to I Took Me Harp to a Party and The Biggest Aspidistra in the World and other comic pieces by English women comedians
