Topic of the Day:  "Good Omens : The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch" by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.  I remember reading this when it first came out in the early 1990s and I thought that it read like it could be a movie.  It was real good and quite funny. :)

I would love to see an Margery Allingham mystery done on the big screen. I know the BBC has done it.

Peter Davison in the role or Pierce Brosnan....

Another book I would love to see done on the big screen is any of Debbie Macomber's series called Dakota Valley...

Lorraine Snellings series called Red River Valley...
Scarlett Johannssen in the lead female role

Lillian Carolyn Braun series also would be good....

Audrey Neffenegger's book, Time Traveler's Wife... Excellent book....

I must be going.  Tomorrow, I'm working concessions for the Washington Center for the Performing Arts CenterFest celebration, here in Olympia.  It's the Center's biggest annual fundraiser.  They bring in a big act and sell tickets for a lot of money.  Anyway, the big act this year is The Pointer Sisters!  It should be a real good concert.  And a long day...I have to be there at 4:30 p.m. and stay until it's all over!  What was I thinking?!?

Listening to a cassette tape I have not listened to in a very long time.

Dreamcatcher by Kevin Locke. He is from the Dakota nation and he is a wonderful flautist and storyteller.... This tape is all music. Very relaxing....

DRMBARNUM - Japanese Sandman is one of my favorite tunes!

Glad to see DRRODZINSKI up and around - EBB TIDE is one of Frances' more boring films, but it is in color!  She doesn't show up for quite awhile, but when she does she's brandishing a pistol!

I guess....I will say at this late time on the TOD:

ATLAS SHRUGGED - but I wish it had been made in the late 60's so I could have in the cast:

Dagny Taggart -  Elizabeth Montgomery
John Galt - Gary Conway

I finally remembered my ASK BK question....but it's late, too....

When they were shooting the Hollywood episodes of I LOVE LUCY - there was a backdrop that was seen outside the Ricardo's hotel room that included a hotel and some different Hollywood landmarks.

When it was daytime it was brightly lit of course.  When it was night, some lights were on in some of the buildings of the backdrop....

Was this a separate backdrop - painted of the SAME location that was put in place for these scenes or was it the SAME backdrop with some different lighting?  Do you think?

Just in from the preview of "Hello, Dolly" at San Mateo High School.  I'm just playing the show and haven't been to rehearsals, but the students are doing a great job.  The orchestra is mostly students, and a few "older" students, and they are playing really well.  There are a lot of strings and they are playing OUT and are in tune.  Such a classic "Hello, Dolly!" is and so much fun to play.  I don't know what it is, but I still get goose bumps on the last chorus of "Put On Your Sunday Clothes" - damn that Jerry can write.

Back from the show and a late-night supper with a surprise guest, about which more later in the notes - which I must hurry and write right this very moment.

Excellent vibes and xylophones to Joe Church, a very nice fellow.
