Most of the stuff that I watch is pre-1970, so I wouldn't guess it would matter much as far as HD tv goes...or am I wrong?

I don't believe that it hasn't been renewed (not decided yet). So far all I"ve heard is that it will be seen in Feb, not in march, and will return in april.

I highly recommend this show. Although it is on UPN so you may not get it.

It stars Kristen Bell as Veronica Mars. She is an 18ish high school student who is basically a Nancy Drew type. It's sort of the OC meets Murder She Wrote.

Veronica solves mysteries around her school. But it's more than that. The show is critically acclaimed by many. And it is very smartly written. You have to think hard while watching because not everything is spelled out. This was especially evident last week, when you had to use your brain to figure out what was happening.

I don't get UPN but my sis tapes it for me every week. So I don't get to watch it till the weekend. But if you can get your hand on the season one dvd, try it. It's really good.

Wonderful carrot cake with icing of cream cheese, butter and sugar and little cream cheese, butter and sugar carrots (colored orange) and little cream cheesegreen, butter and sugar shoots on the carrots (colored green).

Re: tonight's Survivor (no spoilers till tomorrow after everyone here has watched).

I really enjoyed it. They made it much easier to get to know the people (by the way the tribes were divided).

There are a few people I really like. Three of the four young girls (i will go through them tomorrow). There are also a few i don't care for. And some who are totally stupid.

Interesting twist re: exile island (which i will talk about tomorrow).

Up until a few hours ago, I would have said no. But even in the last hour that I have been catching up on posts, my health has taken a turn for the worse. Rodzinski will confirm that I almost NEVER get sick. In the fall I had a medium cold that lasted a few days and I struggled against when I should have had the sense to stay home. I had a new year's flu/virus that I now attribute to his family (who admittedly brought something with them from Ohio) and now I have a super runny nose and sore throat, I'm guessing courtesy of Rodzinski. Crapballs!!

Prior to falling ill, I had a delightful small dinner with a former mouse co-worker. She caught me up on all of the office gossip, but more than anything it was nice to see her again. I do miss some of the folks from the old days.

Plasmas come in two flavors: EDTV and HDTV. The enhanced display TVs have picture comparable in sharpness to a DVD. HDTV is about double that resolution.

HDTVs of varying kinds and sizes are actually less expensive than plasmas right now.

But you might as well buy for the future when you do decide to buy which means a widescreen set with HDTV-capable picture.
