Well I bought the CD....and I know DRJASON did his part at the box office!  Did anyone else see it?  I forget if DRJOSE traveled to Fleet Street or not.   8)

I didn't see it (living in Washington State and all), but I did buy the CD.  I thoroughly enjoyed it...and will continue to do so for a long time.

I saw it the very first night of previews on Oct 3 after a lovely meal at Barrymore's with a number of HHWers (don't know who's a Hainsie and who's a Kimlet). I loved it

Thanks again about the pics.  Yes Ben, that's a little what it's like. But this year is a bit different. We've really had no snow this winter. Maybe 2 or 3 small snows but nothing that lasts. So picture a forlorn kid holding his sled and looking at the grass on the hill and you've got the picture. We're all pretty excited about this late snow

TPunk and I saw Sweeney. Didn't pay, but maybe our word-of-mouth helped it recoup. Actually, TPunk went and saw it again SRO a couple weeks back.

The moon landing meant nothing to me as a tike...only that it was interrupting some program (probably the morning reruns of Gomer Pyle) that I was wanting to watch....

...now the Manson Family murders...seeing reports of that on TV night after night scared the bejeepers out of me!

Thanks for the wonderful picture of the snow covered home environment Cillaliz! I tell you that is one of the most beautiful houses I have seen, seriously! It is the kind I would pick out for myself!

I know that makes me odd man out, but I went right back to listening to HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS and FORUM. I've never bought any Beatles record, not even the soundtracks to their movies, and I bought most movie soundtracks that had any songs in them at all.

Each to his own and no offence but I find it sad that someone should have missed out on the beauty of the some of the songs on those "Soundtracks" :

If I Fell
I Happy Just To Dance With You
And I Love Her
Things We Said Today
You've Got To Hide Your Love Away
Yesterday
I've Just Seen A Face

Any songwriter would have been justifiably proud.

TDF is starting to fill up with the new spring offers. I have a full theatre calendar over the next few weeks.

I saw Ring of Fire which I mentioned a couple of weeks ago. A country music concert on stage. It's still running even though it opened to mediocre or worse reviews. Hmmm, someone must have some money to keep it running  ;)

I also saw Pajama Game last week. I liked it. Hate me, beat me with a stick, push me off a bridge, I don't care. I know that many folks are upset about it and call it the dreaded revisal (instead of revival) but I had a good time. Yes, they made some changes, but they were made with the approval of the living creators and the estates of the other creators and the changes didn't ruin the show for me. I don't think it's quite as good as all the reviews say but it's still very good and Mr. Connick pulls it off as Sid IMHO. My biggest complaint is the orchestra sounds rather tinny and over synthesized but overall, I think it's a good production.

I'm seeing Rabbit Hole tomorrow. It's the new David Lindsay-Abaire play starring Cynthia Nixon and John Slattery. It has gotten very good reviews and I haven't seen Miss Nixon in any theatre since the horrifying The Women revival in 2000 (I believe, it was so awful I don't remember completely). I'm looking forward to it.

Rabbit Hole

I'm seeing Awake and Sing (Clifford Odets) on April 6th. I've never seen the play but I remember reading it in University. I'm looking forward to it. There is a very good cast IMHO, consisting of Lauren Ambrose,  Ned Eisenberg,  Ben Gazzara,  Jonathan Hadary,  Peter Kybart,  Mark Ruffalo,  Pablo Schreiber,  Richard Topol, and Zoë Wanamaker

Awake and Sing

I'm seeing The Wedding Singer on April 4th. I have to be honest, I'm not looking forward to this. I'm seeing it because it's on TDF and I try to see as much as possible. I don't have much hope for it. I hear the movie was "charming" but I would rather have root canal without novocaine than watch Adam Sandler on screen so I never saw it.

The Wedding Singer

I'm looking through my calendar so I can choose a date for Festen, which former DR Panni will be seeing on April 9th.

Festen

I'm also working out my calendar so I can see The Drowsy Chaperone and Tarzan. Both shows have cheap tickets so they won't be on TDF.

DC has $25 rear balcony tickets. BK talked in length about DC when it was playing in Los Angeles.

The Drowsy Chaperone

From March 24th through May 9th (the show opens May 10th) Tarzan has rear balcony tickets for $38.75. They go up to $51.75 on May 10th.

Tarzan

And that is my schedule for the next few weeks. I'm glad I could share  ;D

Pity me. ;)

Well the girls are having a booth sale on 4/8 so I can pick up any other cookies anybody wants on that day and ship them right away

Interesting that you should post it, DR MBARNUM.  I just bought a 5-DVD set thinking it was television episodes of FLASH GORDON, but it is one of Mr Crabbe's Universal serials.  Oh well!

Then again, I remember Mr Crabbe and son Cuffy from television's CAPTAIN GALLANT OF THE FOREIGN LEGION.

Got several things cleared off the DVR this afternoon. First up was SUnday's LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT. Interesting episode about a lobbyist and his Secret Service agent wife.

Chris Noth has lost a fair amount of weight, and the slimmer Chris is very becoming.

Then I laughed my way through THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE. I have to say the show has improved for me since the mediocre pilot episode. I was laughing throughout the last night's show which I watched today.

Looks like the adorable Matt Letscher is going to become Julia Louis-Dreyfus' love interest.

Then I watched NO WAY OUT, the Sidney Poitier/Richard Widmark drama recorded from the Fox Movie Channel. No, it certainly isn't a film noir, but it was an interesting melodrama I had never seen before. My gosh, with fiery bad guy roles like this one and Tommy Udo in KISS OF DEATH, no wonder Widmark got typecast as a heavy.

Either Showtime or HBO has been showing the old 20th Century-Fox/Clifton Webb comedy DREAMBOAT, and I recorded it this morning on the DVR. I only watched about 10 minutes of it this afternoon, but I've always thought it was a pleasant little comedy. Looking forward to seeing the rest of it tonight before prime time TV takes over.
