Things I've come to enjoy that almost got past me:

On reruns of "Enterprise", Dennis McCarthy's end titles -- called "Archer's Theme"...really nice.

A PBS offering from the BBC:  "Rosemary and Thyme", a mystery featuring two women who, professionally, do landscape work (lots of opportunity to find bodies and murder weapons hidden in the bushes, dontchaknow!).

How fortuitous to have started the second page.

It's an omen of something or other, I can feel it!

And is anyone else just burning to know the nature of the "announcement" we may get from S. Woody and Der Brucer today?

I rather expect it to be "animal kingdom" related, although there is always the possibility of something even more dramatic -- let us allow our imaginations to soar.

DR DAKOTA CELT - Blue Moon is an actual HUSKY and she is BIG!  She looks a lot like your avatar - only the white on her face make nice inverted V's over her eyes.  Maybe a picture will show up here sooner or later!

Sounds like DRMBARNUM had a fine Oregon/Hollywood weekend.  See you don't have to go to LA to hobnob with the film colony.

I discovered a nice piece of Frances Farmer information that I shared with DRJMK over the weekend.  It answered a question that had been nagging us both, and finding the answer was the result of taking an obvious trek.  Could have discovered it some time ago!

In other words, it was there all the time!

Auditions for THE SOUND OF MUSIC were fine.  The song that I choreographed for SEUSSICAL (64 measures) turned out to be one that is on the CD but NOT in the show.  Oh well....there were 6 Cat candidates....three males....three females (I know, I know)....

We have a gazillion kids (well actually 23) - for SOM, but no Captain and no Maria and no outstanding Mother Abbess yet.  I am sure they will all walk in tonight!

I'm up, I'm up.  Good news about emore's dad's surgery!  And I'm pretty certain I can imagine who the Maestro is.

More weird dreams, but not as weird as the ones over the weekend, so that's good.

Like DRGINNY - I like to listen to music when I am down.  I also do my own choreography to songs....and sometimes write....

Watching a couple of I LOVE LUCY episodes always helps me too!

Ethel, John Wayne's block is loose!

Thanks for the Criterion info DR MATTH - I think I will mosey over there and see what there is to see.

Well DR's I ordered HIGH AND LOW and THE TALES OF HOFFMAN - both Criterion DVD's discussed here in the past at HHW.

But all Criterion DVD's as DR MATTH wrote, are on sale through today only.  A NIGHT TO REMEMBER, THE RED SHOES, THE BAD SLEEP WELL, WRITTEN ON THE WIND, and ALL THAT HEAVEN ALLOWS are only some of the titles there.....

I ordered another batch of Criterions....but I'm fearful I might have "re-"ordered one I already have.  I hope not.

I've been telling myself for the longest time to get "The Lady Eve."  I hope this is the first time I ordered it.  As I've alluded to in the past...I have some unwatched DVDs....and a memory like a sieve when it comes to tracking them.

Elmo - thanks for the update about your father's surgery. Holy smokes, the miracles of modern medicine! New knees and hips, transplanted hearts, sight for the blind! And if your colon is getting to be the worse for wear, snip it out, re-tool, ba-da-bing! Five more years! It is ka-boggling! Notice your ease, and keep a bag packed... all you can do is all you can do...

I've been reading the Natalie Goldberg books about writing. Oh, my! I highly recommend Writing Down the Bones and Wild Mind. I think every library has them. Very Feel-Good stuff.

And today I will sit in the sun and read DOUBT by John Patrick Shanley. If the sun will stay put for just a little while.

Been going to the gym in this complex every day - nothing too strenuous, but I do manage to get in 2 miles a day on ye olde treadmill. Even worked up a sweat yesterday.

Oh! I left out one of my most excellent of TOD remedies:

A nice long walk in a beautiful park or forest, someplace where there are trees as far as the eye can see and heart can feel. Jane and Keith have such a park not far, in Ashland. But they also have it right on their land! And I have it up there in the forest around my cabin. The trees are very peace-inducing.

And to think that just last week the widow of some guy in Ghana asked me for assistance also...!

YES!  I DO HATE IT!

I coulda bought something ELSE! LOL!

Well....it may be an offering on eBay in the near future IF it turns out I do, in fact, already own it.  But I'm trying to think positive thoughts about NOT already having it....with moderate success.

I almost bought two B/W Japanese movies, but decided to go with one HIGH AND LOW and a color spectacular TALES OF HOFFMAN.  I am sure I don't own either of those.

I do recommend WRITTEN ON THE WIND & ALL THAT HEAVEN ALLOWS a couple of Rock Hudson movies....Wind directed by Zugsmith  and Heaven directed by Sirk that look fantastic on these DVD's...
