And I will not forget to mention the nurses, technicians, and staff that helped so much.

You were lucky to have caring people around you.

Now this is exciting! Scarlett was our leading lady for the Encores! The New Yorkers.

Is Penelope Wilton playing Mrs. Higgins? Good casting.

And Julia McKenzie is Mrs. Pearce.  AND Alun Armstrong was the original Baker in The Baker's Wife (not to be confused with the characters in Into the Woods ;) ).

TOD:  The worst would be having sepsis in June 2019, where I went to the ER with Skip on a Monday and after a few tests, was told by the doctor that I had to have surgery right away that evening, no time to think about it or get a second opinion.

Oh, my goodness! :o

Yikes, Fred. What was the cause? (If you’d care to share)

A UTI and a stone were involved, and a stent had to be put in.

The hospital was not in my insurance plan, but was the closest to our home - and the insurance company was clearly convinced of the level of emergency, because they accepted the initial round of hospital and surgery costs without questioning anything.

Or possibly, I had a very good health insurance plan in 2019.

You were lucky with the insurance, and the good care you received.

We were prepared to have to pay up to 20% of the bill, but what I was billed was less than 20%, so I happily and gratefully paid it.

We were prepared to have to pay up to 20% of the bill, but what I was billed was less than 20%, so I didn't analyze it, just happily paid it.

That looks promising! What are you most excited about, DR elmore3003? I would think My Fair Lady has been well-served on recordings. Is there some / lots of unrecorded material on this new release, or is it more a matter of the performers?

Speaking of shows that Encores did - and medical issues -

With SUPERMAN the movie starting - and as powerful corrupt folk mock lowly disabled, offering:

"You've Got Disabilities" PARODY to the musical ... SUPERMAN's "You've Got Possibilities" - Parody lyric/voc. Fred Landau

TOD - it’s a toss-up between 2010 when I had a coronary artery dissection that caused a heart attack and 2024 when I had cutaneous b-cell lymphoma that required a month of radiation therapy.

Reading through the serious medical situations that all us DRs have weathered leaves me feeling...   grateful.

At almost the same time, I had to have bladder surgery due to some lodged stones.

The recovery from that was worse than the recovery from the nephrectomy.
