INFORMATION OVERLOAD

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, November is off to a fine start. I now have two count them two book signings in December and hopefully there will be more coming, thanks to Marcy the Marketing Person. She’s trying to book signings in a lot of cities with major mystery shops, so if you have any in your town, drop me an e-mail with the name and number. On Thursday, I’ll be going into the recording studio to make a little promotional CD to accompany this website’s sales of Writer’s Block. I have to teach the songs tomorrow, and then we’ll do the whole thing in four hours come Thursday. Last night I spent a couple of hours with the nice chap who’s editing What If. I’ve actually grown fond of a lot of what he did, so we just sort of went through everything and I’ve asked him to substitute certain things which I thought played better in other performances. Most of those small changes occur in Act One. In Act Two I think we’re only switched one little thing. So, I’m hopeful of having a fully-finished DVD very soon. Isn’t that exciting? Isn’t that just too too?

Yesterday I picked up the new Marx Brothers set (haven’t had time to look at it yet), and also got advance copies of Ragtime, Foul Play, and a spaghetti western called Aces High, all from Paramount. I did put on a bit of Ragtime and I must say it’s one of the softest transfers I’ve ever seen, bordering on being completely out of focus at times. I know that filters were used but it looked great in theaters. I’m going to try it on my bedroom LCD TV to see how it looks in there, but after just watching several movies that were really sharp on my big screen, I don’t think my TV suddenly went haywire, out-of-focus-wise. I will, of course, have full reports for you on all these DVDs. And today I should finally be getting my Broadway – The American Musical set, which I ordered through deepdiscountdvd.com for the rather astonishing price of thirty-six dollars and free shipping.

I also managed to do a nice bit of writing yesterday, but, being in the final third of the script (what the wags like to call Act Three), I’m in the hard part where the plot has really taken over and everything has to pay off and wind up. So, I think this section will go a bit slower than the rest, but I’m still hopeful of being done in two weeks time.

Well, why don’t we all click on the Unseemly Button below because I’m writing these here notes quite late but I’m still going to try to get them up on time, or close to it.

I must not tarry or dally or even dally or tarry because I must get these here notes up and posted and I must hit the road to dreamland. Today I shall be lunching with our very own Tammy Minoff. I wonder where and what we shall eat.

I know there are other things to write about but none of them are coming into my head. Frankly, the first section gave me information overload and now I am overloaded and my head may explode at any minute, like Scanners. Yes, Virginia, we’ve had information overload here at haineshisway.com and now we are paying the price ($3.61).

I’d better wrap these here notes up (a Notes Wrap – the low carb version of the notes) because I am suffering from information overload and the notes must be posted in one count them one minute.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must write, I must polish the Writer’s Block songs, I must teach the Writer’s Block songs, I must lunch and then I must relax and smell the DVDs. Today’s topic of discussion: Who are your favorite female Sex Goddesses and what are your favorite films they’ve appeared in? Let’s have loads of lovely postings shall we, filled with informative information so we can remain on information overload.
