THE ONE-TWO PUNCH

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, as if the arm problem wasn’t bad enough, I was hit with a nasty bout of food poisoning or a stomach bug.  I’m kind of doubting the latter, frankly. Yes, we’ve had the dreaded one-two punch. I did sleep through the night fine, and got up at ten-thirty feeling horribly nauseous.  I actually only got out of bed twice over the next seven hours, other than the occasional trips to the loo (ool, spelled backwards).  I was really praying I wouldn’t actually throw up, especially after all the loo visits.  At some point I went to the mail place, which I probably shouldn’t have done, and frankly there was nothing there that couldn’t have waited until today, especially the irritating piece of mail that I deposited straight into the trash can.  At around eight, I really started to feel that despite my attempts at not throwing up, that that was about to happen.  And I guess in a way I did – dry heaves for a minute or so, but nothing ever came out, which leads me to believe that most of the poison was ejected over the course of the day.  We’ll see if that happens again, which I hope it won’t.  Someone is currently on their way here with either a diet ginger ale or a diet 7-Up.  I had a Sprite in the refrigerator for reasons unknown, but I took a sip of it and it really made things work.  7-Up seems to always be the thing that works best for me.  So that is my sad tale of woe – a Thursday that basically didn’t even exist – The Lost Day.

So, there’s really nothing else to go on about – I slept a lot, didn’t even think about my arm, and that was about it.

Today, I am really hoping I’m done with the worst of this so that I can actually do the work I need to do.  Luckily, nothing is happening until about three, when we have a work session for the Kritzerland show, followed by a work session with Sami, followed by seeing a show.  However, if I wake up still feeling this yucky I’ll probably cancel everything.  And happily the weekend is pretty open.  I must be 100% by Tuesday.

Someone just dropped by with Diet 7-Up, Gatorade, and Saltines.  Not eating anything, but will try the 7-Up so as not to become dehydrated.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be over this damn thing, whatever it is, then have two work sessions then see a show.  Hopefully.  Today’s topic of discussion: It’s Friday – what is currently in you CD player and your DVD/Blu and Ray player?  I’ll start.  I’m in bed, baby.  Your turn.  Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I try to recover from this disgusting one-two punch.
