Good Grief -

The current talking head is carping that Jordin should not be an American Idol because she is too fat and thus sets a bad example for American youth!

Too fat? I guess I have farmboy tastes - she looks barely healthy to me.

Who receives royalties from cast albums?

I was about to ask, "Since when have cast albums generated enough sales to warrant royalties?"

What?  Nothing about Blake's "child-bearing" hips?

Jordin is 17, for pity's sake.

She's totally stunning....and tall.

That talking head needs to be lobotomized...again.

A not uncommon problem on that network.

Back from a great lunch, and I'd say that the excellent vibes and xylophones had some effect.  I can't go into any details, but I can pretty much say that The Brain From Planet X will, one way or the other, be back onstage in June 2008 here in Los Angeles.  But, the meeting was great in other ways, too.

Thanks for your MEDIUM thoughts, MattH (and for yours earlier, Jennifer).

Among other things, regarding the attitude at the end, I felt that the attitude was unfeeling, as if to say "my pride and emotional well-being is more important than someone else's life."  While for most people in real life that would be the case, I'm bothered by that attitude on this particular character.   And I felt the writers of the episode truly believe that to be the case.  After the comments from both of you, i guess I'll have to watch again - maybe I misunderstood the ending.

[move=left,scroll,6,transparent,100%]SPOILER[/move]

I got an entirely different vibe on this. I felt she was disgusted that someone (Debra) had to die because they were more interested in spinning the "Allison is a crazy lady" scenario to gain/hold their jobs than to protect someone she knew to be in danger.

Yes, her pride was hurt (she's human, after all), but she was also reacting in frustration that she wasn't listened to when she's been right so often in the past.

Scanlon did sneak her into the crime-tape sealed hotel room - showing he still had faith in her; without his help she would have been unable to resolve the situation.

Devalos also did nothing to stick up for himself!

There are a lot of things to be worked out, but it does appear that it will happen in one venue or another.

I only caught a few American Idols this year.  But it was clear that no one was in the same league as Dolittle. No one could touch her. That she was voted off is ridiculous as are the remaining two...

I literally just read THIS article that mentions her leaving and offers a theory and then I read your post above, trying to catch up with the posts.

That is great news, BK!  I think that I need to start saving up for a trip, as well!!  I've never gone on a trip all by my lonesome.  I've always gone with family, friends or a big group.  It's time for me to grow up and travel! ;D

Thanks for the link, George.  It's telling why much music today is so puerile.

One of the song lyrics, primarily.

It's been QUITE the chore avoiding the "Medium" discussions today.

I've taped it, but haven't yet watched it.

Would appreciate SPOILER headers on further revelations today, please.

Well, good grief, Ronnie Brown! Get off the computer and go watch it ~ Peppermint Karen ( :-*)

Oops!  I didn't put SPOILER on my post last week, so don't hate me.... I hope you have forgotten it (or didn't read it thinking it was just one of my long-winded gratuitous posts, which by the way it was ;D) cause it was the exact plot, except wrong female....see, I thought it was gonna be the reporter in on it with the murdering-husband guy...

A very good afternoon to dear Esteemed, lunched, discussed, radiant, and bursting-with-goodness BK --

I too am glad that your midday repast resulted in positive possibilities for another "Brain" production.  Of course I will be there...... but I continue to hold equally good and strong vibes for a NYC production of "Brain" also.

I just finished picking about 7 pounds of beautiful apricots (variety - "Katy") , and tomorrow they shall be transformed into wonderfully delicious, homemade apricot jam.  Yuuuuuummmmm !!!

TOTD:
Other than "coffee table books" I doubt I've bought or judged a book by its cover. My reading material is usually selected from reviews, referrals or because I know the earlier work of the author.  I'm more likely to look at the spine of a book than at the cover as I brouse the shelves.

My favourite authors are Clive Barker and Tim Winton. I really have no idea what is on the cover of the books - other than the titles.
