Either that animal is passing gas, or they PhotoShopped the photo and removed the tail.

TOD: I was going to say the "Die Hard" movies and "Terminator," but then my brain kicked in and I remembered those were mindless '80s movies (I'm getting old).

So, I would have to say the early Guy Ritchie movies, like "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" and "Snatch." They're fun, they're mindless.

I like Jason Statham's movies, too, like "Transporter" and the "Death Race" remake. He's got a low-key, engaging personality that makes the flicks fun.

I have never been a fan of the terminator movies

i liked the 1st 2 terminator movies.

i like Jason Statham very much.  those are also my 2 favorites, of his movies i have seen.

The super has been here to see the mess and tackled the neighbor upstairs, who's clearly been having problems with his loose toilet and doing nothing about it. In fact, while the super was here, there was water dripping from the ceiling. So, I guess a plumber will be visiting my neighbor in the near future, and I will get a ceiling repair wihen all the wet plaster dries out. Of course, the big question is, how soon will the plumber make a visit?

You better hope the plumber isn't a woman!

Tonight they are going to announce the new celebs for this season's DANCING WITH THE STARS. I thought all the names would have been leaked. But i've only seen a few (kate gosselin and perhaps pamela anderson). I am still really annoyed with the show for dumping so many of their popular professional. Apparently Kym asked for more money so they canned her too (in addition to karina, lacey and jonathan). And Dimitri won't be on this season most likely either. :(

I read Greg Louganis is probably going to be one of the contestants.

Then I might go back to watching DANCING WITH THE STARS.

I just pre-ordered Andrew Lloyd Webber's latest, Love Never Dies from Dresscircle.co.uk.  Is anyone else planning on getting it?

DR George, thirty years ago I was exactly like you: every new cast recording had to be in my possession. Then I realized one day that many of them, especially the revival cast recordings with new arrangements and reduced orchestras, weren't worth the time or waste of money. I'd only be interested in the new A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC if it had Tunick's orchestrations and it does not.  As to ALW's newest, I would only want to hear it for Larry Blank's orchestrations - I do believe and he did them all, no matter what the credit says - but I'll find it down the pike in a used CD store for a lot less than its current selling price.

Does this explain, DR Elmore, why I have eight different recordings of "Annie Get Your Gun," even though it's not one of my more favorite scores? I mean there's one with someone named Susie Quattro, and I haven't a clue as to who she is. But it must have been $4 or $5 in a used CD bin someplace, so it ended in the collection, along with the two Ethels, the Mary, the Bernadette, the Delores, the Betty and the John McGlinn.

Yes, but do you have the original Cantonese recording?  I bet George does.

I'm in a bit of shock over the quote for LeafGuard gutters at the new house.  We have them here at this house, so I knew they're not exactly cheap, but, wowza, was the bid high.  Like 5 figures high!!

I was going to say any film with Vin Diesel, but I guess that wouldn't be the 90s.

Your new house is much larger ;)  The economy is bad, maybe you can get a lower price.

I hope nobody took this as a put-down to women.  I was just worried that with the neighbor's reputation, no actual plumbing would get done.

Well, it's 3:45 am and I've been up for the past hour. I am also very angry about it. Very.

About an hour ago I went to the bathroom to discover the bathroom rug soaking wet and plaster all over the floor, something that occurred between 11 pm last night and now, but I couldn't have heard it because of the damned earplugs I wear because of the neighbor above me! So, after a short debate on cleaning up the mess or going back to bed, I opted to go back to bed, only at that point the neighbor arrived home and I got to hear 30 minutes of his squeaky bed while he and whomever have sex. I figured then, screw it, since he is, got up and cleaned up the bathroom. Now I'm so angry that I cannot sleep.

The leak has been going on for some time, bit it stopped for a while. It was back yesterday afternoon when I returned hme from Toyland. Since I don't know if it's caused by the neighbor above me or another apartment, it's difficult to find the source. I know it was gone for a while but now it's back.

Sorry to hear about the leak. I understand your frustration. I came home from work once to a completely flooded house. That was a nightmare I hope I never have to live through again.

I think elmore had that problem one time, when he stopped dating Noah.

It's the last time I date one of your sisters!

We got home from Cleveland a couple of hours ago, had a popcorn supper, and now I'm catching up on emails and such.  Richard wants to see Jay Leno's return to late night, but I don't think I'll be able to stay awake that long.

DR Ginny I just browsed your website & am very excited to see the book you are reading for you March book discussion.  Please don't forget to give me your general impression.

DR Jane - I just started the book and think I'm going to like it.  It's this year's selection for the Dayton area's Big Read and I hope some of our group members will join me to hear the author speak on April 10.

I managed to get five more episodes of MATT HOUSTON watched. I was going to stop at 8:30 so I could watch CHUCK tonight, but since I only had one more HUSTON episode on disc two, I went ahead and watched it instead so I could be 1/3 of the way through the set - on schedule when I give myself three days to do these season long box sets with 20+ episodes.

I did skim through today's ONE LIFE TO LIVE. Nothing of interest (though Roxie was on also Cris in a shirt and Ford NOT in a shirt).

Back to MATT HOUSTON for a moment. The shows are slightly amusing. Lee Horsley has a kind of sub-Tom Selleck joviality about his playing that makes him appealing, but I can see why they dropped the angle of all these people at his office clamboring for him to sign papers, approve deals, etc. once the show moved past season one. It gets in the way of the investigations. And apart from Pamela Hensley, the other regulars are just useless.
