Does anyone remember Hodge Podge Lodge on PBS NET back in the late 60's?  It was a children's show hosted by Miss Jean who instructed on the glories of wildlife.  My best friend, Billy, and I thought she was the funniest thing on TV.  We used to create comic strips based on her, which evolved into an elaborate universe of characters.  We eventually even published a monthly magazine (circulation: 1).

Well, here's what I know:  I always though John McGiver was the voice of W-t-P.  You learn something new every day.

No No NO John McGiver is the guy who can make computers out of paperclips in that old TV show!!! ;)

Where in the world do you find the title of each show?

I know they name them...but I never know what the name is until a season shows up on video, or one of them gets nominated for Emmys.
Warning: Spoilers.

Isn't he the guy currently doing a Kurt Russell impersonation on another TV show?

Just received  this in my "IN " box

Quote
DEAR FRIENDS OF LITTLE WOMEN-

BLOGGER TOM here-

I'm sorry to share this news, but I did want to let you know officially that LITTLE WOMEN will be closing on Broadway THIS SUNDAY, May 22nd. It was a difficult decision for the producers to make, but it was necessary, and I give them credit for being brave enough to make this hard choice.

For those of you in the area, we still have several performances, and we'd love to have you there with us! TELECHARGE is ready to help at 212-239-6200, (outside NY call 800-432-7250) or come by the box office at the Virginia Theatre.

In happier news, the National Tour is shaping up nicely, and that information will soon be posted at www.LittleWomenOnBroadway.com. In fact, the site will continue to grow, and will serve as the site for the tour. Keep us as one of your "favorites" on your computer- We'll have updates as news comes in for the road!

To honor the memory of LITTLE WOMEN, we encourage you to VOTE for the show in the numerous on-line contests! www.broadway.com has us in 7 of their categories, www.playbill.com has one tied in with VISA, and www.broadwayworld.com lists every possible nominee in each category- plus it shows you live results as well. What better way to show your support than by voting for this special show?

Thank you again for all your support over the past year- We at the website have loved getting to know you all, and look forward to having the March family out on tour.

With our great appreciation and a little sadness,

BLOGGER TOM

and MOJO

Yup DtM - JIMMY was another Anita Gillette Broadway blockbuster.

Now, THAT'S funny!

Julie Wilson's song, "I Only Want to Laugh" showed up on some Vivan Blaine album I have.  It's not a bad song, but....

Yes, I remember it.  What's more, I remember LOATHING it.  It was like watching paint dry to me, even then.

Morning everybody .. trust you are all well

Update on Tomovoz:

I spoke to Tom yesterday.  He sounded a lot better than I had expected him to.  Maybe he was flying high on the morphine!  Anyway, he had not eaten at that stage however later in the day he was allowed some soup.  A text message this morning indicated he did not get much sleep.  The main thing, as he said was that they did go ahead with the operation.  This is a GOOD sign.  I will speak to him later today and will advise his progress when known.

Have a wonderful day/evening/whatever it may be where you are.

Best wishes and big hugs to DR Elmore from both of us here.

How nice to see DR elmore posting, although in a drug-induced fog!  Be careful, please, with the Vicodin.  Two years ago I took massive doses of it following oral surgery (yes, I WAS too old to be having a wisdom tooth extracted!) and had such a severe gastrointestinal reaction that I ended up in the ER on Mother's Day evening  :P

Good report, too, on Tomovoz.

Best healing wishes to you both!

Personally I tried to avoid science as much as possible when I was in school...the only project I can recall was making crystals in a glass jar....mine was none to successful as  I recollect.

I didn't want to do any science in high school, but I did want to do several of the science teachers!

I don't like Stanley Holloway........ I think he borrowed Ray Walston's ham sandwich.

Exciting or barf-inducing, one of the two.  I'm not even doing this to see if it works as to see how long the damn thing is.  I'm just petrified it'll be twenty minutes or something and that I'll have to write twenty more pages.  Pray for Rosemary's baby.

In other news, someone was coming over to bring me some stuff.  I gave them directions coming over Coldwater.  I then had a completely senile moment and told them to go left onto Ventura instead of right.  The poor girl is probably in Woodland Hills by now, looking for Whitsett.  My only hope is that she'll stop somewhere and ask where Whitsett is, and then once she's going the right way she'll find it fine.  I HATE senility.

Some exciting DVD news:

The Thin Man series collection releases on Aug. 2nd. Along with all of the Thin Man films it will have the pilot to the TV show, radio shows, cartoons, etc.

Astaire/Rogers collection releases Aug. 16th:
TOP HAT, SWING TIME, FOLLOW THE FLEET, SHALL WE DANCE, and BARKLEYS OF BROADWAY are on this first set.

And the film everyone is waiting for (well, I am waiting for) THE THREE STOOGES MEET HERCULES starring Samson Burke releases on June 28th! Woohoo!

I thought Larry, Moe, and Curly Joe were in that one.
