According to the website, Breakfast is served from 8:00-3:30, and Lunch service starts at 11:30. So, I guess if we hang out long enough, DRs could have both breakfast and lunch at Sarabeth's. *And then if you really wanted to make it a Sarabeth's day, you could head back between 3:30 and 5:30 for afternoon tea.

And for those DRs who can't make it to NYC this Thursday, Sarabeth's has a decent mail order service. So, if you place your order tomorrow, you too could be having a Sarabeth's lunch on Thursday.

An idle thought:

In the good old days (i.e. when I was younger) filmed Documentaries meant unbiased scholarly research like Ken Burns "The Civil War". Now I am confronted with distorted realities, propaganda masquerading as "Documentary", by the likes of schlock-meister Michael Moore (the US radical left's answer to Leni Riefenstahl).

Should someone produce a new documentary of interest, how I can tell in advance whether I will be educated or brainwashed?

Well... I'm pretty sure it's a safe bet that if the topic/subject of the documentary deals with people and events of the last 10-15 years... And if Bush or Clinton is involved...

Some people will call it a documentary.
Some people will call it propaganda.
Some people will call it a mandate.
Some people will call it the truth.
Some people will call it lies.
Some people will call it brainwashing.
Some people will call it education.

The way you tell is read a site like metacritic.com that compiles all the major film reviews so you get a good general idea what a film's p.o.v. is going to be.

Thanx for the site link - it's much better organized than RottenTomatoes and more inclusive. The links a "keeper".

Hello!! What a wonderful evening yesterday was.

I must hang my head in shame, however, since, despite my assurances to Ginny that I would take photos, the conversation was so sparkling it never occured to me to reach for my camera until we were driving back home.

I was sitting next to the very talented Mr. Skip Kennon and directly across from the very lovely to look at Mr. Kevin Spirtas thank you very much!!

The Last Starfighter was wonderful!! I urge anyone who has not yet purchased the CD to do so forthwith. you'll be glad you did.

I too felt that the audience really enjoyed the show... all the comments I heard during the intermission and afterwards were very positive.

If I could just hit the lottery now so I could be an investor!

BK was great as OTIS he had a real "folksy /dad quality" very upbeat and as the alien character (Grig) he was entirely the opposite really a negative doomsayer... it was great!

I agree with Rodzinski that the fellow who played ZUR and Blake a Mr. Bernardo DePaula was wonderful.

I am so sorry that I did not know that former DR Noel and DR Joy were inthe audience I would have very much liked to have met them. I am a big fan their "Our Wedding" .

and the Vixter extends her thanks to all for "not treating me like a kid and letting me come"

She also wants me to tell everyine that her favorite song frpm Starfighter is Father to Son, She advises you all "to go and listen to it right now because the words are perfect and the music just flows just right and its creepy and cool and evil and great"

Wow! I don't know what came over me, but since I went out for breakfast, I have taken apart and washed all the dining room windows, the bathroom window, the sliding glass doors downstairs and the window on the landing going upstairs. I wonder how many years it's been since someone took the windows apart and really cleanded them. They were filthy!

Then I vacuumed the top two floors (just can't get motivated to do the basement, but at the rate I'm going I may) I have the last load of laundry in the clothes washer, ran the dishwasher, ate lunch and now it's 2:00 PM and I'm ready to deep clean the kitchen.

Must have something to do with the 4 glasses of ice tea I had with breakfast, lol. Anyway, off to the races!

Jessica Skerrit was cute and had a nice voice and was much taller than I imagined

James Donegan did a great job of going from mild mannered stage directions reader to evil Zandozan..

everyone was great not a bad apple or weak link in the cast

Fred and Skip shoul be very proud of themselves and their work... One question... why were no cd's available for sale after the performance?
