Wow!  Twenty-three pages last night and there wasn't even an awards show!  A whole slew of subject matter--return of DRs (welcome back Noel and Jason!) and the first appearance of a new one (welcome to brand-spanking new DR 3DDiffusion!)  Birth (Congrats to Great Aunt DR Cillaliz!) and death (so sad about DD (Dear Diva Beverly Sills.)

..and Monkey cakes, Levain cookies and pats on po-pos (or is the plural po-poes?) -- or are those subjects from the day before .. or maybe today ... you can't leave this site for a second or then it's lost and confused -- or dazed and confused -- in Kritzerland ....   so many posts, so little time ...

Hello, folks!

I'm back at the cabin - gardening (weeding) up a storm, and holding the firm intention to finish up my Independent Study papers (a carload@!) and email them in by July 15. Lotsa people up here for the week, so I must be firm about doing homework. It's gawjus here, jes gawjus.

NYMTFest folks - huzzah, and best vibes for fundraising...

Well, actually, DR DearReaderLaura - it was kind of interesting putting the program together.  I tried to balance my penchant for the intereting & obscure with comedy and crowd-pleasers, so I've got a bit of everything: Berlin, Lerner & Loewe, Jeff Blumenkrantz, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Bock & Harnick, Larry Grossman, Clark Gesner, Mitch Leigh, Hoagy Carmichael, Maltby & Shire, Craig Carnelia, Maury Yeston, Lane & Harburg, plus a bunch of cute comedy novelties.  It should be fun.

It's lunchtime in NY, so I can't make telephonic calls, but I must speak with the potential general manager, who was supposed to send me something via e-mail yesterday and, of course, didn't.

And I have a rehearsal at eleven, a meeting at two, so I'm hoping I can find the time to make the call.

Tuesday greetings from Ohio!  DH Richard and I had a smooth flight back to Cincinnati yesterday evening.  We are settling back in here at home, but my first order of business was a visit to the doctor.  Those who were around me this past weekend know that I sound consumptive (Richard said the airline folks would hear me cough and think I had TB!).  Dr. Frazer gave me Zyrtec and a new nasal spray, which he said should help me feel better.

Good Afternoon!

Well, the laundry has been folded - four loads, and my bed sheets are currently in the dryer drying.

There's a put-in rehearsal for Kevin Worley, the new Al in ACL, at 3:00, and I think I'm going to go and watch and listen.  And then spent an hour or so practicing the keyboard 2 book - I have my "debut" tomorrow afternoon.  And then I may come back here, or I may stay and watch the Opening Combination, or I may see about getting into Frost/Nixon.  We shall see.

DR DakotaCelt - it is actually in Fairmont, a good piece south of the Twin Cities; on the Iowa border.

Darn!   :(

I know where that is and it is a drive.

I'm sad to be away from NYC, too, DR Rodzinski!  When we were in our taxi to the airport yesterday, I told Richard that I wasn't ready to go back to Ohio, but was ready not to be staying in a hotel anymore.

Sheesh!  In our accumulated mail, which Richard picked up at the PO this morning, we have a fundraising letter from Summer Youth Theatre, whose production this year is Cinderella.  The letter says,

"It debuted in 1957 for a special one-time performance on PBS to a record audience of 107 million viewers."

A few clicks on the PBS website reveal that PBS was not founded until 1969.

Wasn't the original broadcast on one of the major networks, which were pretty much all we had back in 1957?
