And oh yes to see a brief glimpse of our estemed BK in the new movie The Ghastly Love of Johnny X

Go here  http://www.johnnyxmovie.com/trailer/trailer.php and download the trailer for the film.

That was very brief -- and quite bizzare.

Here is an interesting tidbit that I discovered while trying to find out how tall Montgomery Clift was.  I am sure most people knew that he turned down the role in SUNSET BLVD, but I found this quote at one website:

"Monty famously rejected the role eventually played by William Holden in Sunset Boulevard. He rejected many other parts including Bus Stop (the Don Murray role), Moby Dick (Gregory Peck), Trapeze (Tony Curtis), Shane (Alan Ladd), A Star is Born (James Mason), On the Waterfront (Marlon Brando), Mrs Miniver (Richard Ney), Rio Bravo (Dean Martin) and East of Eden (James Dean)."

Speaking of websites and movie trailers, I just discovered this little film this weekend.

Warning:  It takes forever to load, but it is very funny.

Loved it, TCB!
Especially when the hero finds himself watching a Broadway musical.

I have frittered away the whole weekend. I did make it to UNITED 93 today.  It was interesting. Not as emotional as I expected. It did make me think one thing. If I had a loved one on a plane about to crash or that has been hijacked or whatever the life threatening situation. I don't want them to call me and say goodbye. Maybe it's selfish, but it would be harder to know that someone was about to die than to find out it had happened.  Maybe that's just me.

I'm not sure I'd be able to get to a cell phone to call anyone.  I'd be too busy praying!

Haagen Daz has all these new flavors, but I did like the Banana Split.  Some, however, look quite frightening.  I think my fave is the Macadamia Brittle.

The Three Stooges' HAVE ROCKET WILL TRAVEL.

And you know it is so strange that film has not been released yet...I mean they have released all the other Stooges 60s feature films, but not this one...and it is one of the best of the lot (although I am partial to SNOW WHITE AND THE THREE STOOGES).

JRand55, the interviewee was none other then Flex Martian himself, Rock Stevens star of MUSCLE BEACH PARTY and HERCULES AND THE TYRANTS OF BABYLON...and a little TV show we like to call MISSION IMPOSSIBLE!

...of course he is better known under the name Peter Lupus...but we both agreed that Rock Stevens was a cool stage name while it lasted.

Dinner was very delicious and the company quite interesting. My friend Jeff introduced me to three friends he made when he lived in Virginia before moving back here last year. We had a nice evening, but I left in time to get home for DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. No need to wear out my welcome.

BTW, I LOVED Peter Lupus on POLICE SQUAD. He was very good and much more entertaining than O.J. Simpson who took that role in the NAKED GUN feature films.

Little Egypt. At the Matrix. I know nothing about it. Nice cast: Sara Rue, French Stewart, Misty Cotton, Jenny O'Hara...

I love Sara Rue and French Stewart.  I wish I could see it!

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES

spoiler - - - - - -

very sad Gaby story. Bree seems well on the road to recovery with someone new to worry about and take care of. Again, Lynette's story was the least interesting to me. And poor Susan is heading for a fall. People get in SUCH trouble when they aren't honest with their friends when they're sneaking around and it concerns them. Not sure where the Applewhite story is going except in the dumpster. Does anyone care?

CROSSING JORDAN had a harrowing story tonight.

spoiler - - - - - - - - -

And let me just say I am outraged over what they are going to do with Jordan's ex-boy friend Pollack. They were perfectly matched and could have made an interesting duo, but they're killing him off to set up the end of season cliffhanger. Cheap, unfair, stupid!

What the hell for?  Did he have a fear of success??

Peter Lupus is his real name and he did a few TV guest shots under that name and then went to Rock Stevens, the name he did most of his movies under, and then back to Peter Lupus because the producers of MISSION IMPOSSIBLE didn't think Rock Stevens was a serious enough name for the show.

George, how was FIDDLER ON THE HOOF?

The man that played Tevye played my son in THE LION IN WINTER.  He was Richard, the Lionhearted.
