Time to eat some roast beast and watch WHAT'S MY LINE.

I suspect that Dorothy Killgallan's final episode is coming up soon.

I watched SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE tonight. The judges are incredibly harsh, but now that the auditions are over, it will be interesting to see what happens next

I put in the DVD of OLD ACQUAINTANCE tonight, but I started with the making-of documentary first. Honestly, the speakers explain what is meant by the term "woman's picture." I had a good laugh.

The movie itself is not in the near-pristine condition that THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER is. Especially early in the film, there is definite print damage and spotting. The pictuire is sharp, but that was the best print they could find?

And Miriam Hopkins is so terrible in this - very artificial and mannered. No wonder Bette Davis loathed working with her. Subtlety was not a part of her vocabulary.

Then I watched tonight's CSI rerun. I remembered the premise of the show - a film crew is filming the CSIs for a reality show as they do their jobs, so the show jumps from high definition sharpness to a faded, screen-door effect camera for the documentary footage.

Jack Noseworthy was among the guest stars tonight.

I decided I'd give NBC's new drama WINDFALL a try tonight. 20 people win a $380+ million lottery. Probably too many stories going on, but so far it has held my interest enough to continue watching next week. Looks like it's going to be in ER's time period for the summer (and NBC is rerunning tonight's pilot episode a couple of more times during the week to try to reel in as many viewers as possible.)

Heading for bed now in the hopes of getting more than seven hours of sleep for a change.

Good night, everyone!

Back from what I hope will be our next to last editing session - we finished, fixed the one remaining problem in act one, and all that's left to do is the titles.  Then Kev and I will watch, make notes, and we'll do one more quick four-hour session if we have to and that will be that.

This morning I went for a walk in the nippy weather, and this is what I saw:

Good Evening!

It's actually quite a wonderful evening out right now.  It's cool, but not too cool, and there's just the right amount of humidity in the air.  Made for a very pleasant walk through midtown earlier tonight.

James and I went to see "Boy Culture" tonight.  It's one of those "special interest" films that are a part of the NewFest Film Festival.  A very good film with some very funny moments, and some unexpectedly touching moments.

And that's about all my brain can handle for now.  I have a very long day ahead of me tomorrow - I'll be in Tony Prep Mode - and I need to get a good night's sleep.  Lots of running around to do.  So...

Goodnight.

Earlier I had two eggs and two small tortillas.  So, since I ran extra this morning, I figured I was safe to eat a decent meal tonight, so I went to the Wolfgang Puck's in Gelson's and got me a chicken Casear salad, which was absolutely fantastic - it was the first time I've had it there, and I shall be eating it often.  I had them do a bit too much dressing, so from now on I'll get less, but man was it yummilcious.  I hope I don't gain from it, but really, I don't think I overate today.

Has Ann caught up?

Conversely, has up caught Ann?

Finished another song for dear reader PennyO's show.  That's three completed.  Not sure how many more to go, but I'm really enjoying writing them.
