Ron P - I don't know whether to say thanks for the cat story or not.  THREE MONTHS????? I was very frustrated earlier and was ready to give up and find Boots a new home, but she's soooo sweet, I just can't give up yet.

Nicky joined our household four years ago this September; and not a day goes by that Angel doesn't find a reason to hiss at her brother.  Of course, he is a boy, and he is built like Steve Reeves; so he really wants to rough house.  Angel, on the other hand, is thirteen years old, and is frail like her father; so she doesn't enjoy his idea of fun.

But they still love each other!

I wouldn't give up yet, Cillaliz. They've only known each other a few days. They're not hurting each other.

My parents left this world after living long lives and did not have to suffer at the end of their lives. I have no regrets.

We should all be so lucky.

and Callie could still be hurting from the loss of Nilla. Animals have their own way of dealing with loss. Give it time.

Oh, I'm in for the long haul, it's just frustrating.  It went so smoothly for Callie and Nilla, in 3 days they were curled up on the couch together and they were that close until Ihad to put him to sleep.  So, I just have to get used to the idea that it's different this time.   I'm trying to spend more time with both of them.   Boo is in the office with me while I work on the computer.  Callie and I played downstairs for a long time this afternoon.  I separated them for the rest of today, and that has really calmed both of them down.  Tomorrow is another day....

I've been out shooting photos of the water tower as it is today. Paul isn't done but I can at least give you an idea of what we were painting in the photo. I'll be back

This isn't finished, but it's the guitar we were painting in the news photo. That's Paul to give you some idea of the scale

The alien was from the 2001 logo, I think, the fish were added this year by Mark and Heather (the girl in the news photo) I really like the fish!

Anyway, there are logos and art all the way around both water towers. A photographer from Iowa tourism was there to take photos of all of it. Some of it is really cool and some of it is graffitti I could live without

Here's one more. This isn't the tower we painted this year, but I haven't gotten photos of the south tower from a distance yet. I'm waiting until it's finished

Well, when you can escape, the Margaritas and salsa offer is still good!

Is Monday night July 3 a possibility?

I got to my brother Tom's around 6:30, just as my dad's friend and he were unloading a carton of needless groceries.  I threw a huge fit about his wasting my day and my brother's and how he shouldn't have been out for over 5 hours.  His friend said she heard a deadline of 6:oo and my brother tom let her know that the discussion was a couple of hours, not a 6 PM deadline.  I'm sure she left in a huff hating our collective guts, but what the hey?

Well, I don't think I can get to Ohio tomorrow, but I do appreciate the invitation.

Likewise, your earlier invite to Washington State, DR TCB!

The logic of this new Seven-Up commercial throws me:  their seen picking them off of trees, but later a young lady is holding them as though they were bunchesd of radishes or turnips.  Now, I'm puzzled:  is Seven-Up a fruit or a tuber?

Cil! The murals look magnificent. Nice to see them with people standing next to them, to get a sense of the scale. Wow.

I went to Costco earlier - I had nothing in the house. And I've spent the past 2 hours weeding and clipping, until the bugs got real bad. Jeez. I'm soaked with OFF! but they kind of like it - sort of like Worcester Sauce on a tasty old gal... Anyway, I bought those wonderful little cream puffs to take to the neighbors tonight. I love them! but would never buy 90 cream puffs, unless I were taking them OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!

AND I showed the house to some friends of the neighbors... told 'em I wouldn't be able to get it together to leave this place until mid-NEXT-summer, and they loved the place, and said GOOD, cuz we can't move that fast, either. But tell us when you get ready to sell it - we want it.

Had a lovelier than lovely 78th birthday celebration for my Mom.  They're back home safe and sound by now, having just missed the rain by minutes.
