Actually, we've had people playing (and guessing correctly) who haven't before.  That's the fun of it.

Cool beans!  It's one of the things that's made me look forward to Saturday mornings.  I hope it goes on and on.

Found some fun $1 CDs at WALGREEN'S this morning...vintage radion shows...they had Fibber McGee and Molly, The Great Gildersleeve, Michael Shayne Private Detective, and a sci-fi one called Dimension X, which I have never heard of, along with a few other interesting titles....for $ 1 you can't go wrong!

Looks like if I go into the office for a few hours today, I can avoid going in at all tomorrow.  I'm torn.

..trip to the movies to see Nacho Libre.

I'll let der Grampa review the film, if he so chooses.

The Grandlads had fun - and their parents enjoyed the brief respite.

For us Sexagenarians, the film brought back fond memories of a wasted pre-teenhood spent with friends gathered about a giant 8" B&W TV watching "Wrestling From Rainbow". (The hosts Mom kept a giant pot on the stove for popping corn which we all enjoyed).

Ah - Tag Teams!

Ah - Mudget Tag Teams

Ah - Realism!

Seems some reviewers found the film "juvenile" - what were they expecting, a re-working of "Birth of a Nation"?

And, although Jack Black was the star - the movie was stolen away by Hector Jimizez

I got an EMail from "WhiteSheik" - I assumed this was a condom ad.

It looks like lots of people are working on the trivia contest, but having trouble fidning that one hook into the answer.  So I hope the trivia contest doesn't get discontinued because of this week's submissions, assuming there are only a few.  This week's and last week's were trickier than last year's questions.

I'm having trouble, also...it's frustrating and fun at the same time. ;)

I also meant to mention that I won a DVD copy of TOO MANY GIRLS off Ebay yesterday.

We had been talking about it earlier in the week, and DR George suggested I try seeing if Ebay had any separate copies of it up for sale. I got it for $4.75. Of course, the seller charged $4.50 for shipping, but at least I will have it now.

Congratulations!

Since Woody is at work and derBrucer was just posting, I assume we can count the two of them off the list for the Tacoma get together.

And now, I must go to my sister's house and print directions to Anthony's at Point Defiance so that I might be able to find my way to the mini-HHW Gathering today.  I wasn't able to get my sister's boyfriend's camera, but I have my cell phone camera, so I can take pictures with that.  Hopefully they'll turn out okay.  Later!  Have a good day, all!! ;D

Sadly, yes.  They have a lot farther (further?) to travel than I do.  See you soon!!

Hopefully we'll have lots of photos from the gathering.  I'm on my way to the Pasadena Playhouse now.  Vinnie's been here, and the clone has been done, and everything seems to be working fine.

Back from a lovlier than lovely time at the movies with DR Elmore.  We enjoyed The Devil Wears Prada and now I want my gray hair to look like Meryl Streep's.

Yes, indeedy!  DR Ginny and I had a wonderful time.  DR Ginny met Miss Julie Freeman, daughter of my dear friends Alan and Lilianne Freeman, who was working at the concession stand.  The movie was fun, a different tone from the novel, with lots of plot and character chaqnges.  I liked the cast, especially Ms Streep and Mr Stanley Tucci, a lot.

My dad has just stepped in so I will now step out.

I hope everyone going to Tacoma has a wonderful time!  Post photos.

Good afternoon!

Because of overcast skies, it has never heated up the way they predicted, so we've ended up with another atypically cool July day. I enjoyed sitting on the porch and enjoying the breeze and cooler temperatures.

I had to do laundry, of course, so while it was going, I watched the second disc of MARY TYLER MOORE episodes.

Among my favorites were the dinner party with Veal Prince Orloff (described last night), the one where Georgette considers becoming a nun, and the surprise birthday party for Lou Grant that goes haywire. All classic episodes from one of the show's bestg seasons.

Then I finally got around to TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE. Believe it or not, I laughed a good bit and found a lot to like.

I know Matt Stone and Trey Parker are bad boys who enjoy pushing the profanity and sexuality envelopes with their cartoons (and now puppet shows), but for me that was the weakest aspect of the film, and a little went a long way. Much better were the satirical jabs against some earnest liberal actors, the Ben Affleck-inspired slam against PEARL HARBOR in song, and the over the top gore and carnage with the puppets. I found the puppet work quite hilarious and mediocrely on-purpose/well done enough to get involved in the facial expressions of the characters (especially the male puppets) and all the elaborate sets and effects pretty mind-blowing.

I doubt I'd ever want to see it again, but I had a much better time with it than I did with THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN last night.

I started LOVESPRING INTERNATIONAL, last Monday's episode with Eric McCormack playing a straight character but with the same physical tics and body language as Will Truman. However, as I wanted to go ahead and get on the internet, I put the rest of it on hold until the get back to the TV set later this evening.

Now I must get to the grocery store so that I don't continue to live on chips and salsa the whole week DH Richard is away.

Bye for now!

The wormhole between Rehoboth and Tacoma is on the fritz.

It's also on the lang.

We have been at church today, then out to lunch with some of the folks. We are just about to watch "Deceit."
