And if I get BEYOND THE SEA early enough tomorrow, I'll watch it, too.

I am currently watching my Bollywood movie of the weekend TOOFANI TARZAN (1937) starring John Cawas, Nazira, and Ahmed Dilawar.

It is a grey marked DVD so I don't have any artwork of DVD cover to show, but it is a  find rendition of the Tarzan story as a professer and his very attractive adopted daughter search for the man's lost grandson in the jungle...of course the lost grandson has grown up to be Tarzan!

Well, if we don't get a frenzy or three we can all hang our heads in skammen.

I just got back from travelling all over north Georgia picking up items for Greg's shoot in Virginia next week. Now I'm back to editing...trying to get a jump on the upcoming projects next week for Disney, Hallmark, the Mercer doc, and onlining the Sacco and Vanzetti trailer to put on our DVD of The Internationale when it's released next month.

This is by way of explaining how torturous it is to have to do all this stuff, and finish my taxes, when what I REALLY want to do is read the book!!!

But I did get to listen to "New Guy in Town" and I absolutely love it!! Lots of songs I've never heard, and some I love, like the one from "The Court Jester", and appropriately, a Johnny Mercer song! (Guess this means I can even call this a write-off!)

Guy Haines is such a wonderful singer---unpretentuous but sings with great feeling---the whole CD made me happy. And the cherry on top is that lovely Grant Geissman solo. I know I'll be listening to this on my drives in to work to put me in a good mood to face the day.

Hoo and ray, bk!

I just saw on my Comcast on demand menu that there's a whole section for Bollywood! Can't wait to check it out!

This 1937 Bollywood Tarzan is much spicier then later Bollywood Tarzan movies! India must have later started a production code like America did. The movie is very much in the romantic vain as the first Weismueller (sp) Tarzan film was.

But I have stopped to movie and will finish it tomorrow...now to bed...but first will read a bit of the new book that arrived today!

MattH, I would have given BEYOND THE SEA a 10 if it hadn't been for the constant barrage of foul language which really irritated me because it seemed so unnecessary...sort of like this is a musical bio pic that won't appeal to the masses cause it is too old fashioned so we had better throw in lots and lots of bad words (since we can't have any cars blowing up) so that the guys will stay tuned.

However, the musical numbers are fantastic and I thought Kevin Spacey, while a bit long in the tooth for the role, was still very good and is one heck of a singer (I did buy the CD soundtrack), and the sets and costumes were perfection.

M. Barnum thinks that Kevin Spacey is a little long in the tooth???  My God!  How old is that man?

Okay, here's an odd one for you folks.

I believe some critter has died within the walls of my house. (Rat or Squirrel or chipmonk size, I suspect). Short of cutting into my wall (with some uncertainty to exactly where said critter has expired), anyone know any way to minimize or eliminate the odor of decaying flesh that's now beginning to pervade the specific area?  Any measures that can be taken at all, I know the larvae and the flies will probably come next. Any suggestions will be helpful on how to deal with this and contain or eradicate the problem with hundreds of dollars of damage to my house will be greatly appreciated..

The news is NOT good!

Dead Squirrel in the Wall

Quote
...Next, I spray the area with Bac-Azap, which is an excellent deodorizer and decontaminant in the case of dead animals. You can't just spray this stuff in the air to get rid of the smell, but once you remove the animal, you can spray the area to neutralize the stinky residual odor and juices left behind.

You can't get rid of a squirrel in the wall with any product, it must be done manually. There's a slight chance it may be accessible from the attic, but a wall is usually 8 feet down, with limited space, and oftentimes structural beams block access. In most cases, I must cut a hole to remove the animal.

I'm back...and to prove it, here's my post!  I had a lovely evening in Tacoma with Jed, Ann, and TCB AND all the way from Australia (by way of New York City and points in between), Tomovoz and DP Colin!  We all met at Jed and Ann's apartment (which is right across from TCB's apartment) and chatted, and just when we thought we could chat no more, we chatted again! ;)

We ate at a wonderful Italian place called JoeSeppi (or something like that) and I thought that the food was wonderful!  Jed and TCB had the chicken and pasta (I don't remember exactly what it was, but they both had it), Ann and I had the trio pasta...one portion each of spaghetti with meat sauce, tortellini with basil cream sauce (I think) and probably the best fettuccini alfredo I've ever had.  It was fabulous!  I don't remember what Tomovoz and Colin had, but I think that they enjoyed it. :)

And for dessert, Tomovoz and Colin split a banana cake.  I had asked for it also, but there was only one piece left, so since they both wanted to share, and they're visitors in our fair country, and Tomovoz said that a very bad storm wiped out banana crops so that they're like $3 each!, I let them have the banana cake and had the tiramisu.  It was quite delish!

Jed and Ann, however, ordered the five-layer chocolate cake...which actually turned out to have only FOUR layers!  How rude!! ;) The thing is...the cake is huge!  It's the biggest single piece of cake I've ever seen served in a restaurant!  And here it is:

Ann kept swearing that she didn't know that the cake would be that big!  Here's Ann starting in on it:
