I have an Irish penfriend who introduced me to irish music and I introduced her to bluegrass. She also plays timbre flute and has even got to play with Sean Keane and Kevin Conneff.

Nope... I cringe when someone plays trad music on a boehm system flute... For modern arrangements, yes it is fine but it does not work well in traditional tunes. It has a different feel.

The group Ceoltoiri Chualann did the score for PLAYBOY of the WESTERN WORLD, 1963 release from Ireland. I actually ahve that on tape.

I know.... To many people of Norwegian ancestry, they prefer to celebrate Syttende Mai, which is Norwegian Independence DAy...

I prefer St. Pat's day... I am Irish and German and proud of it!
