Yes, DR Elmore, I think the body in Provinza's garage is my favorite of the season 2 episodes (though all are terrifically entertaining.)
I just rewatched that one the other day.

I hasve two books on Novello, but I honestly don't knpow where they are at the moment! One's mostly photographs with a bit of text and the other's a rather cautious biography from the early 1980s, as I recall.

I looked on Amazon.com and there are a couple of new ones, one by James Harding - might be a reprint - whose books on Brithish musicals after Sir Arthur Sullivan, French operetta, and Jacques Offenbach I recommend highly.

THanks for the suggestions. Naturally, I would want one that doesn't "hide in the shadows" about his personal life. I'll do an Amazon search later this morning.

DR Elmore:  Are you/were you/have you ever been a fan of the TV series "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer"?

So that's where DR Jose was taking off to in his New Balance running shoes (and trying to make it sound like he just going for a jog in the park ... )

Had a fitful night's sleep.

Had the a/c going.  It did the trick as it was quite warm outside and no breezes blew.

But I kept waking up thinking it was nearly time to rise and shine.

Now that I have risen and am shining, I'm sleepy.

Or that "reservoir" place he mentions...and about which some of us have major suspicions.

Then I suggest you buy things from Amazon.com\China or Amazon.com\Singapore.

If that doesn't satisfy you, consider taking a trip to exotic locales.

There were two bios published right after his death in 1951. Both were circumspect with certain aspects of his life. Here is a list of books about him. Even though the two books from 1951 don't give you the entire story they are well done (IMHO) and worth a read if you can find them. We got them from another friend/fan of Novello.

Ivor Books

Mary Ellis also worked extensively with Ivor and she writes about it in her biography, Mary Ellis, Those Dancing Years:  The Autobiography of Mary Ellis, John Murray, 1982.

Another thought, DR Miss Karen -- order home delivery from a local Chinese/Thai/Indian restaurant.

Or, DR Miss Karen, ask MBarnum where he does all his shopping.

DR Elmore:  Are you/were you/have you ever been a fan of the TV series "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer"?

The first couple of seasons, which I watched regularly.  After that, I was rather apathetic.  I think part of it was the raving cult status, and one of my best friends was an insane cult member, and a feeling the show was too caught up in its own importance, which is why I became disenchanted with SIX FEET UNDER as well.
