The floors are mopped, the CDs are dusted; the laundry is i the dryers and I have to finish cleaning the bathroom and kitchen when the floors dry,
DR Michael Shayne, thanks for posting that CANDIDE link yesterday. I lost it when my Netscape crashed and wiped my bookmarks a couple of years ago. The author's done a lot of homework, but he's still missing things. I don't have my 1956 Colonial Theatre program for Boston handy, but there are a coule of musical numbers he's missed, one of them a duet for Cunegonde and the Old Lady in Venice called "Pass the Soap." He's been to the Bernstein Collection at the Library of Congress but he hasn't been to the Hellman Collection at the University of Texas where the fourteen drafts of CANDIDE include other lyrics by Dorothy Parker. I also get the impression that while he is a fan of the score, he's not a musician.
