The weather has broken here in New York. Who do we call to fix it?

It will be hot today but not like the past few days. We slept without the AC last night.

Not to be confused with a good game of celibacy. (which seems a touch like an oxymoron)

I also love a game of Initials.

There are variations but the way we play is

You take the alphabet and write it vertically down the side of a piece of paper and then pick a sentence at random. I chose Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their party. You put the first 26 letters of the sentence next to the alphabet as so (you can see that the last letter used is the t in to):

AN Aaron Neville
BO Bobby Orr (the hockey player) and so on
CW
DI
ES
FT
GH
HE
IT
JI J
KM
LE
MF
NO
OR
PA
QL
RL
SG
TO
UO
VD
WM
XE
YN
ZT

You then have 10 minutes to come up with names for the sets of initials. As in Celebrity, the name has to have some level of fame and the person can be real or fictional including cartoon characters, advertising icons (Pillsbury Doughboy would be acceptable for PD), etc. For K, Q and P King, Queen and Prince or Princess are acceptable. Scoring is as follows

If you get a name and someone else gets the same name you get 5 points. If you get a name and no one else gets it but other players get different names (AW could have Andy Warhol, Andy Williams, Anna Mae Wong, etc) you each get 10 points. If you get a name for a set of initials and no one else gets a name at all you get 15 points. You can only have one name for each set of initials.

Good morning, all!  The question about Mr Jerry Hadley once again seems to be, is he or isn't he?  According to Ron Raines, he is, but there's nothing from the media to prove it. Oy!  So, back to the Spirtas charts.

I awoke this morning to Christianne Noll's "Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte" running through my head sd I'm listening to JEEPERS CREEPERS,  BK, I am so jealous of your evening! Since Jason changes ever-lovin's like others change underwear, is this the landscaper(???) I met in London in 2001? I miss the old rep company a lot.

Thank you all for the Birthday wishes!   I could post each in a separate post,  but I'm in a hurry to get going and pick Paul up as he waits at the service station where he is leaving his car for repairs.

DR Ginny, I was going to have it today, but things got so busy so fast I haven't had time to hang pictures and finish things, so I think it will be next week instead.

In the latest edition of Forbidden Broadway, the Company parody is apparently very effective.

No strings/No bass/No drums/Unaccompanied!

And "Being Alive" becomes "Being Intense."

TOD:

My current favorite party game is Pictionary using a large drawing pad and easel.  It never fails to have me laughing so hard that my stomach aches afterwards.

Good morning all you Dear Readers out there in the dark.

Do any of you know if a documentary is available called This is Noel Coward? It was done for ITV in Britain in 1972 or 1973. There is a coffee table book companion to the film. We found the book at a Library book sale on the Upper West Side. I just finished reading it and really enjoyed it. I would like to see the film if possible. Almost all my googgling turns up is refererence to the book. There are a couple of databases which mention the film but it doesn't seem to exist in DVD or VHS.

BTW, Mr. Oz, thanks for the hardware. H & B are here.
