Woody, you know Jason Graae too?
Not
that well. We've only encountered each other once.
It was during BK's recording of Graae's
An Evening of Self-Indulgence: Live at the Cinegrill. Der B and I had arrived at what we thought would be an early enough time, but the only seats left were practically right on stage, to the left of the playing area. It was more than kinda neat, being that close in.
Well, it's time for the encore, and he's singing "What More Can I Say" from
Falsettoes, and he's seated on the other side of the stage... and there's no way he can not look at us, simply because of how the chair he's sitting in is facing. And der B and I are holding hands.
Comes the applause after the number, Jason comes over to us and thanks us and says something about seeing us holding hands. I think. The applause was so loud that I couldn't make out a word of what he was saying. Maybe he was cursing us out for not applauding enough during the evening. Personally, I'd like to think the former.
And that's my Jason Graae story.
