This year feels a little strange to me. It is the first year that the dates and the days of the week are the same as they were in 2001

DR Elmore - my library owns many of those Rodney Gilfrey recordings - both audio and video - and on my lunch hour I will scoop up as many as possible!

Well, off to get coffee and find a gift for Chris.

Then it will be time to don my protective gear (shoulder pads, helmet, knee and elbow pads) and do that dangerous task called the laundry

Hello,

I am writing for Michael.

He was in a car accident on Thursday.

He suffered minor injuries. A burn on the arm was the worst of it.

He is just really sore all over.

He will be back when he is feeling better

Dear I ~ Thanks for letting us know about our DR Michael. Let him know we're all glad his injuries were minor -- and that he's being sent all kinds of "Non-Sore, Healthy-Healing Vibes."

Here I am, talking about nuts, while DR ELMORE is displaying his encyclopedic knowledge of music. siiiigh. No contest.

Now, sis, while it is true DR ELmo can be most intimidating and awe-inspiring with his encyclopedic music knowledge, there is nothing wrong with talking about nuts. Be proud of your nutty knowledge.

Yes. Directed by Oliver Stone but not, according to reviews I've read, in his usual hallucinogenic style.

Pistachios! .... and party peanuts -- salted

Pecans fresh off the tree and cracked right out of the shell -- and in baked things like cookies -- Pecan Pie, yummmmm!!

White chocolate and macadamia nut cookies!

And although I don't like nuts in my ice cream, I love pistachio ice cream and butter pecan ice cream (I just pick out the nuts).

Unless I'm served ice cream with nuts at other people's houses -- then I'll be polite and won't spit out or pick out the nuts ...

Oh, pecan pie!  How could I forget one of my favorites, both to make and to eat?

I forgot to mention that I finally did get to Thursday's AS THE WORLD TURNS episode. It did contain the gay storyline, and it was kind of entertaining. Luke found another gay student in one of his classes and they had a coffee date. All it this seen by Noah who, naturally, is jealous but denies his feelings. Meanwhile Noah's military father, all sputtering prejudice and proud of his son for moving in with a girl, continues to sicken.

Oops, mini-frenzy -- my cue to say adieu -- a million things to do today -- two papers with Monday deadlines...Suburb show tonight...etc., etc. etc. (said in my best Yul Brynner voice as I stand with my hands on my hips in the King and I stance)

Jose led us to explore the tremendous talent of ELDAR.I appreciate that discovery.

I don't know if anyone else out there in the dark knows of a Pianist named JACKY TERRASSON. I recommend him highly.

I am listening to his new CD- MIRROR and it is a beautiful experience
