I hope DR Ginny got to see DR Jason
...
I did, I did! In fact, my cover was blown as soon as I walked into the theatre. The cast was just coming into the lobby to greet the audience from the early show, and who did I see first? Yup, DR Jason, in an exquisite cape that I saw later in the show when he played the Ghost of Christmas Present. The reception was quite small, but he was one of the cast members who dropped in and we had a photo taken that I'll post tonight from my home computer.
Now, the show. Because of school closings and delays, many groups did not attend, so the audience was small but very appreciative. The show was very well done and DR Jason was
very busy - in the opening number, he wore a bright red coat. As the apparition of Jacob Marley, he was menacing. As Fezziwig, he had to wear much padding and a powdered wig. As a townsperson, he sang my favorite number, "Guess Who Kicked the Bucket Last Night." He was wonderful in all roles and I feel honored to have seen the show. Because of our 1pm departmental meeting, I had to leave as soon as he, as one of the gravediggers, revealed whose grave they'd been digging. Even though I know how the story turns out, I'm sorry to have missed the finale. They were to be on a bus by 2pm to travel to their next destination - Monroe, Michigan.
