My co-worker and I had a delightful time at the book event. She invited me to be her guest at the Engineer's Club beforehand for lunch and it was nice to be in a downtown venue that's not a homeless shelter.

I picked up my mail and there was a really lovely fan letter from a fellow in Texas, whose favorite film is - wait for it - Spaceship, aka The Creature Wasn't Nice. Go know. He sent me two photos to sign, which I did. The included letter was very sweet and heartfelt.

I am still SO disappointed that I won't get SUPERNATURAL in HD. Last week's show in HD was such a masterful use of cinematography, and I hate missing out on what could be a great HD episode.

For any collectoholics and soundtrack fans - I have just listed a humungous number of Oscar Promo CDs I've gotten over the years - I just have no room for these and I never listen to them. There are some extremely rare items that have never had official score releases, many have more music than their commercial counterparts.

Good Evening!

Well, I had entertained the idea of heading down to Chelsea Clearview Cinemas myself tonight to catch "What's Up Doc?" on the big screen, but... Then a friend of mine thought he had an extra ticket for Joshua Bell's concert tonight at Carnegie Hall - accompanied by the amazing Jeremy Denk - but then his partner ended up getting back into town this afternoon from an emergency business trip (a day early), so... And just now, for reasons which will most likely remain unknown, I decided to do a "bottle check and clear" of some of the stuff in the fridge door... -Yes, beer does go bad. -Yes, champagne does go bad. -And just how many bottles of salad dressing can one have at one time?!?! And, Yes, bottled horseradish does go BAD! $:-\$ But at least now there's a bit more room in the fridge door.

And all I want to do now is sit down and veg and watch TV. -Besides, I also have a full day of Billy Elliott dance calls tomorrow, so...

Ah, well...

....And that's what Valentine's Day means to me.
