DR EDISAURUS I appreciate the upcoming candle!  As does You Know Who.

I put away her food dish and water bowl this morning, so that is that.

And regarding the pronunciation of the Siberian baritone's last name, it's actually sort of "easy".  Russian is basically an "open" language, meaning that almost all of the syllables which make up their words end in vowel sounds (much like Italian and Spanish).  "Hvorostovsky" is an English transliteration of his Russian/Cyrillic, so if you break it up by the syllable, with the vowel "stops"...

Dmi -tri  Hvo - ro - stov - sky  - Just consider the "v" a vowel too in the third syllable.  And, yes, there is a brief, almost guttural exhalation of air before the first "v".

Hmm, I think I mentioned this in my earlier post about South Pacific and Gypsy.

No surprise.

South Pacific extension

Unfortunately, again no surprise, they also raised the ticket prices. I'm glad I'm seeing it on April 15th at the lower Loge price.

If they're still selling Lincoln Center Theater memberships:  It may actually be cheaper to buy an annual membership for $50 and then buy a member ticket to South Pacific for $50, than to pay the $120 ticket price.

Just an idle musing.
