Hello, my dear DR's -

I, too, am in the throes of Opening Weekend... and appreciate what our esteemed leader is dealing with. Gawd, I'm tired!

Compleat Female Stage Beauty opens tomorrow, for a gala-opening-night-fundraiser-with-buffet, and officially for press and public on Saturday. I think this is the only So. Cal BRAIN I won't be seeing - from first read-thru, first staged reading, first production... hate to miss it, but LOVE my show!!!

Baseball - yup - I'm from a rabid baseball family -- my dad played until he was 87, my brother played until injuries (sustained as catcher when a player slid home) sidelined him, and his two boys-from-the-second-litter are in college on baseball scholarships - one went to the college world series and finished 4th last year. But I don't really follow the pro teams -

I do like boxing... my Chuckie introduced me to the sweet science in 1981... he is a sports journalist now - covering boxing in south Florida. My sport of choice - ballet.

I saw yesterday that Juilliard is looking for a full time career counselor... thought seriously of applying for the gig. Might still apply. But as I recall, NYC still does Winter...

Hello, DR PennyO! The folk at Artie's ask when Penny's coming back. You are missed enormously on the East Coast, dahlink.  By me, especially.

Someone is selling on eBay today an original BABES poster beginning at $980.00, which is a bit out of my league. Why wasn't I born rich instead of beautiful?

I like baseball and football. I like figure skating. Hockey is okay.
My favorite is attending an event live.

For me i need a team to really root for. Otherwise i have a harder time getting into it.

I made show books for the musicians - now the director wants longer transition music between a couple of scenes, and some scene intros... oy. The keyboardist can read anything - but now I have to write more cello parts... oy.

It's not that i really care that these 2 are the final 2. I am okay with that (i found sheila very whiny). But i wish that adam had won the final hoh. I wanted to see what he was going to do. He was quite smart last eviction (evicting sharon). I had thought he was going to screw over ryan and just not tell him what he was doing. But he really came through. I was surprised he went to him. I think that was a huge turning point for adam game-wise.
I really wanted to know if adam would have taken sheila to F2. I think he threw the last part of the hoh so he wouldn't have to do it. Now he has her vote. It will be intereting to see how the house votes. I would see james and sheila voting for adam. I think adam will win. But not sure how it will go.

But I also realize that many sports fans detest musicals.

So I'm happy to live and let live.

:)

Well, I have never felt the need to select one over the other.  I love musicals and I love sports.  My playing days of sports (and possibly musicals) is over; but I am an avid and rabid fan.  I love baseball, especially My Seattle Mariners; although I doubt they know they are mine.  I also love football, and again the Seattle Seahawks are my favorite team.  I watch Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football; and, whenever possible, both  games on Sunday during the day.  During Mariner baseball season, I seldom watch anything else on TV but Mariners' baseball.

Other sports I enjoy watching are diving, gymnastics, figure skating, and several other of the Winter Olympic Games.  BK didn't ask about musicals, so I will shut up.

Perhaps if you fire off an email to Kritzerland, reeking of entitlement...   ;D

I'll let DR 3D do that.  (Meow).

As for Indiana.. Try Goshen - it's an "easy" commute to Chicago from there.  And I'm always amazed that places named "Goshen" actually exist.  Otherwise, if you want to go further south, there's always Evansville - which is sort of a small-big/big-small town.  Lots of industry there, and it's a few hours away from St. Louis, Nashville and Memphis.

Then you could also have your choice of the college towns: Bloomington, Terre Haute, Plainfield, Lafayette, Muncie, Anderson, Elkhart, South Bend, Mishawaka, Valparaiso, Gary, etc., etc., etc...

There is a Goshen, Utah.  In fact some of us politically incorrect  youngsters had a parody "literary magazine" we published in high school (it was quite popular, we actually sold more copies than the "real" literary magazine, LOL) whose mascot was one Rodney From Goshen.
