And to increase my irritation, I hated, loathed and detested MONK tonight. Whine, whinw, whine and moan, that's all that unbelievable character did tonight.

I'm surprised you still watch it.  Isn't that one of the usual complaints DR elmore?

Not feeling like watching a motion picture - too much roller coaster riding today.  I'm listening to a CD now.  I started The Fall Of The Roman Empire, but it's too slow going for me tonight.

I just finished watching Monday nights SUPERSTARS OF DANCE and I am now totally addicted!

When you all were discussing this show the first week it was on I did not realize it was sort of an international thing with dancers from different countries....how wonderful! And that Russian judge makes me laugh every time! He is hilarious.

And some of these dances are just amazing!

I am sorry I missed the first episode of the series, but I shant miss the rest.

I just uploaded some more of the pictures I took in DC this past Wednesday to my flickr account, so...

Monkey in DC

:)

Great Pics, DR Jose.

(I've been meaning to mention this, but you should spring for a lint remover for Monkey.  Grooming is important, especially in close-up photography.)

THe Vixter was just collected by her friend (her parents are driving) to go attend the high school play "Diary of Ann Frank"

Well, that should cheer her up  ???

der Brucer

She's taking a drama class so she is required to see it and critique it as a class assignment.

Oh, that's ok then; she really needs some drama in her life :D

der Brucer

I have never seen the play so I am not sure how it ends

( I mean obviously I know what really happened to Anne and her family, I am just not sure at what point in the story the play ends )

Well, the play ends when the Nazis crash through the door to the Secret Annexe.

George Stevens made a beautiful (but long) movie version of the play in 1959 that won several Oscars, and it's available on DVD. Well worth watching if you've never seen the play.

After reading a review of WHEN THE LION ROARS which is to be released on DVD, I pulled out my videotape of the six hour broadcast (taped off TCM) and watched the first section and about half of the second. Wonderful documentary which makes me want to go ahead and get the DVD so I can get better quality than the tape I made.

Next, I watched tonight's GHOST WHISPERER. I loved the Melinda/Sam-Jim story but did not much care about Delia's wild ways in high school or the ghost story with Nate.

How funny after reading DR Elmore's rant about MONK to see former MONK co-star Bitty Schram in a small role on tonight's episode of GHOST WHISPERER.

I like the documentary DR MATTH - but the TOTAL time wasted on Patrick Stewart's clever intros finally gets to be too much for me.

I enjoyed the Monkey in DC series.

Sorry to hear about the problems with the CD release, MR BK....but it is not worth your time, you are correct.  Now NOBODY will get to hear it.

I ended my evening watching last night's episode of SUPERNATURAL.

Except, there wasn't anything supernatural about it (as it turned out). I'm not sure the show has ever done an episode like this before. Ghastly enough to fit the tone of the show, but I much prefer the evil from other domains other than humans.

DR Matt, when and were was this series first aired?  For some reason I'm thinking that it was first shown on HBO during the 80's.  TCM has been showing it all week but I kept forgetting to record it.

Those framing sequences look like they had a pretty big budget. It's very elaborate for a documentary.

Sounds like everyone had a good Friday.  I am dealing with a personal issue - sometimes you just can't be nice - and sometimes you finally have to say things.

Perhaps this person is finally now OUT of my life....time will tell.

It was made in 1992 for TNT, but has been shown there and on other Turner-controlled networks since then.

Very much so.....as befits MGM....but think of all that time added together, and how many more clips we could have seen....ah well.....

Just read about the Cole Porter review with Victoria Clark and David Hyde Pierce at Lincoln Center.  It sounds de-lovely.  I hope it's being recorded--or better yet, broadcast on PBS.

Victoria Clark at Lincoln Center, and elmore hasn't yet attended???
