I'm wearing a new pair of black slacks that I bought in 1998 but could never fit into.  Their size 32 and they now fit perfectly with room to spare.  It's a good thing I rarely throw out clothing.

Visitor number two, who is supposed to be bringing me CDs told me that his afternoon thing was running late but he promised he'd drop the CDs by and that I should just go do whatever I had to do.  It's not 6:45 and he hasn't been by - why do I feel that for the fourth time this week I will not be getting my CDs?  And if that proves to be true I shall not be happy about it, and this fellow will hear about it strongly.

I am glad your brother is feeling some better, Cillaliz, but I sure wish he would follow the doctor's instructions.

Maybe someone told her she was eating pig snout. that would make me choke

An IOWA lass turning her nose up at pig-product - for shame!

Then of course, there is this http://www.sciam.com/article.cfm?id=new-drug-resistant-mrsa-in-pigs

A New Strain of Drug-Resistant Staph Infection Found in U.S. Pigs
If the newly arrived European strain leads to disease in humans, it would further complicate the struggle against antibiotic-resistant MRSA

Great!   Just what I need to hear.

I'm beginning to think that visitor number two will not be showing up - which will be the third time this week.  I shall not be happy if that turns out to be the case.

Would that be Sean?

I guess I shouldn't post about the ghastly death casued by a urinary tract infection.

der Brucer

I am curious if the person was an idiot & ignored the symptoms, didn't have any until it was too late, or just too poor to go to a doctor.

No, she was a prominent model in Brazil:

MODEL DIES AFTER LOSING HANDS, FEET TO URINARY TRACT INFECTION

Quote
Bridi twice was a finalist in the Brazilian stage of the Miss World beauty pageant, according to local media, and participated in the 2007 Miss Bikini International contest.

Bridi fell ill in December and doctors originally diagnosed her with kidney stones, local media said. But her condition worsened and doctors then diagnosed a urinary tract infection that spread. She was hospitalized on Jan 3.

Once she was hospitalized, doctors discovered septicemia had set into her limbs, cutting off circulation.

They were forced to amputate.

If anything, it sounds like a Doctor screw-up.

der Brucer

I read about the model & didn't know it was from a urinary infection.  Oh so sad :(

I talked to my brother tonight.  They've got him on about 8 different medications right now so he's a little weak and said he's dizzy every time he stands up.  He's not supposed to work for 2 weeks but is plannning to go back Monday.  I told him he's crazy

This afternoon we went with friends to see SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE.  We were not disappointed. :)  Following the movie we had a lovely time out to dinner.  It was a wonderful afternoon until we returned to the car.  In the rain no one noticed parking was "head in only", resulting in a $15 ticket.

At least the tires missed the skunk the car drove over on our way home.  :D :D

DR elmore asked yesterday what character I was playing in GLORIOUS.  George posted the cast list showing that I was playing St. Clair.  But the full answer is that I am playing St. Clair Bayfield, a real-life Broadway and Shakespearian actor; and also the man for whom the rather prestigious Bayfield Shakepeare Award is named.

I am REALLY looking forward to the movie day tomorrow. It's supposed to snow, so if my friends don't make it, I'll do the double feature anyway.

***SELL-THAT-DARNED-PROPERTY-AS-SOON-AS-POSSIBLE VIBES***
for DR elmore3003!!!!!

I wouldn't mind some of those vibes, myself.  My mother's house is still unsold since her death.  Luckily some of my very own Macbeths (most lovingly referred to by me as "The Little Foxes,") have their own finacial issues, so there seems to be a more concerted effort to dispose of the place.  I wish they had  had that mindset when the market was better, but what can you do?  What can you do?   I'm taking (or doing my best, anyway) to take the high road (ye take the low road) and to not get enmeshed in their stupidity and greed.  Ah, the joys of a loving family!

House selling vibes for DR Kerry!!!

My own McBeth, who made DR elmore's seem almost like an angel, had her own plans for my father's condo.  Since there is no delicate way to put this.... reading your posts I am reminded out lucky I was not to have to deal with the battle that would have ensued had she lived.:(

I need to find some gum quickly.  In the mail were two boxes of Tasty Kake chocolate Candy Cakes from Pennsylvania from my friend.  I just ate two packages :P :)

DR Laura, to further answer your question last night about where I worked.  When they opened the Superior Court branch in Mesa on Javelina (can't think of what they call it) I went out there with our office.  I had a great office and there was a roadrunner family that lived by my parking space.  I often had to wait for them to move so I could park
