I saw that in the theatre when it was released. Thank God, my Mother treated us like adults when it came to movies and art and literature.(partially, I think so that she wouldn't have to get a child-sitter). Had we lived in a big city (and not the cowboy town Phoenix was then and still tries to be at times), I know she would have taken me to wonderful plays. My two other siblings were clueless and bored through all the films we saw that weren't made for less than an adult age group (Disney, Beach party movies, etc.). However, I took it all in-- "Darling," "Patch of Blue," "Fanny," "Miracle Worker," "The Slender Thread," and so many more. I think I lived all my adult years from about the age of 4 to 24!
