Alphabetical Musicals Project:
I finished Dance a Little Closer this morning on my way into work. For those of you who don't know it (it ran one night on Broadway), you may know some of the songs from the above-mentioned Alan J. Lerner Album. It contains some other gems. There is "Mad", where Lerner displays some of the verbal pyrotechniques you know from "Come Back to Me."
And there is also "I Don't Know/Anyone Who Loves", what one is wont to call "ahead of its time". A debate between an Anglican priest and others on same-sex marriage, one of the grooms being played by the above-mentioned World's Sexiest Man Alive. I don't think this scene was in the original Sherwood Anderson play Idiot's Delight, on which it is based, or in the Clark Gable movie.
Next, the alphabet will be temporarily interrupted as I listen to the four Kritzerland CDs that arrived yesterday. I tremble with antici
