I just discovered that we have a BOLLYWOOD ON DEMAND channel on our cable lineup.

That sound you hear is MB packing.

So...

After realizing that the ringing sound I was hearing this morning was my alarm clock, I managed to get myself together and head out to the door.  This morning's presentation was being held over on Daniel Island...

First of all, Daniel Island is beautiful.  And Rich!! KA-CHING$$$  But, still, it is quite beautiful.

Once I found the proper club house where the Rotary meeting was being held - the tennis courts had their own club house, as did the pool and the golf course - I managed to find my group of people. We were all a little bleary-eyed, but they had coffee and juice for everyone in attendance, as well as breakfast: eggs, bacon, sausage, Belgian waffles and fresh fruit.

We had all originally thought that we would be singing and playing at 7:30, but it turned out that it was the meeting was starting at 7:30. -But the free coffee and breakfast more or less made up for that - if there was anything to make up for.  In any case...

It was interesting sitting in the meeting, observing their procedures, as well as the social interaction among ll the members.  About 20 minutes in, we gave our presentation, and everyone seemed in surprisingly good voice for that hour of the morning.  -Our soprano even sang a cut of "I Could Have Danced All Night".  At the meet and greet afterwards, a bunch of members came up to us telling us how much they had enjoyed the show, and that they were planning on seeing it again this weekend. :)

Please, please, please... If you end up ordering a kurta, well... I'd rather not know.  ;)

*Are you on Comcast? I know my parents have a Bollywood channel on their Comcast service in Richmond.

BK I know what you mean about those shorts -- for the past several years sweats, shorts, etc for girls and teens have been emblazoned with lettering across the seat.

I could never understand those mothers that bought those items for their girls - why do you want to attract every passing eye to your daughter's posterier?

In other news...

After this morning's presentation, I had to stop at a gas station to fill up my tank.  When I went inside to pay, I noticed that this particular gas station had a display of some of my favorite Mexican treats (pastries, cookies, nuts, etc.).  So... I haz snaks!  ::)

Then once I got back to the apartment, I decided to go ahead and iron my tux shirt since the iron and ironing board were still out from earlier this morning.  Well, since I was ironing my tux shirt, I went ahead and ironed the other shirts that had just come out of the laundry.  So, overall, a pretty productive morning.

Hi, DR Vixmom!  How are you feeling today?

Better now I have stopped sneezing

A nurse once advised me to hug a pillow if you feel a sneeze approaching.

After my mom's heart surgery, the hospital provided her with a "therapy bear".  If she needed to cough, practice her breathing, sneeze, etc., she was told to hold the bear in a particular way in order to help prevent any sort of injury.

*My niece, Emily, liked it too. :)

Well, if they are with their daughters in public, it takes attention off the mother's behinds many of which certainly call attention to themselves for different reasons!
