So...
After realizing that the ringing sound I was hearing this morning was my alarm clock, I managed to get myself together and head out to the door. This morning's presentation was being held over on
Daniel Island...
First of all, Daniel Island is beautiful. And Rich!! KA-CHING$$$ But, still, it is quite beautiful.
Once I found the proper club house where the Rotary meeting was being held - the tennis courts had their own club house, as did the pool and the golf course - I managed to find my group of people. We were all a little bleary-eyed, but they had coffee and juice for everyone in attendance, as well as breakfast: eggs, bacon, sausage, Belgian waffles and fresh fruit.
We had all originally thought that we would be singing and playing at 7:30, but it turned out that it was the meeting was starting at 7:30. -But the free coffee and breakfast more or less made up for that - if there was anything to make up for. In any case...
It was interesting sitting in the meeting, observing their procedures, as well as the social interaction among ll the members. About 20 minutes in, we gave our presentation, and everyone seemed in surprisingly good voice for that hour of the morning. -Our soprano even sang a cut of "I Could Have Danced All Night". At the meet and greet afterwards, a bunch of members came up to us telling us how much they had enjoyed the show, and that they were planning on seeing it again this weekend.
