OK, it's time for my usual last-minute puttering before I leave for any trip. But I'm sure I'll be posting updates from the rails.

Whoopi Goldberg in "Ghost." I was really glad she won the Oscar for that performance.

DR JOSE you need to take your brochures on the train that read:  THE END IS NEAR!

My sister taped her first appearance with the History Channel UFO Hunters last night.  I will let everyone know when it is to be broadcast.

DR MBARNUM I also received my PreCode Hollywood set today, but will not be able to watch it until I return from the Other Side.

I do love Lost's surprises, especially the endings. But i agree with DR Jose on this
one. I did not find the "whose my daddy" surprise at all surprising. I'm not saying
i thought of it before last night's show. But it seemed like it was likely from the
rest of the show. I had the same feeling with miles' "whose my daddy" reveal. I
sort of wish that when they announced these things i would be "oh wow" instead
of saying it out loud before they say it. But still good show. Interesting twist. More
interesting that Eloise is an Other. And why she sent daniel. Hopefully he's not
gone! ui iu l blah blah blah one two three foiud doiufoiufoiu jlk jkl iu oiu  four five soi

DR MattH, i don't watch HARPER's ISLAND. But isn't that the show that CBS swore they would show in its entirety. No matter what. There was a big article in the paper. And it said it would go till july something.

Interestingly, the Canadian station that is showing it has it scheduled for tonight. So i think they are going to continue on schedule. IF they do this then the next episodes will be out there, which is sort of weird.

No Fox BDs early in the afternoon, so I began watching stuff on the DVR.

I began with last night's CSI: NY. The best show of the season by a mile. Ed Asner was the guest star of a Holocaust story, and it was mesmerizing from first frame to last. Terrific performance from him and from Gary Sinese. Wouldn't be at all surprised if Asner doesn't garner an Emmy nomination for this, and this should be Sinese's Emmy submission episode as well.

According to EW.COM, CBS has moved the show to the 10 p.m. Saturday slot rather than cancel or delay it.

RE LOST ----------

Daniel set up the possibility that any of them could die by saying they were actually in "their present" rather than in their past, so I do truly believe he's dead. I love the character and hope that I'm wrong, but it seems right that this should have happened. WHat it means for the rest of the season and next year, I have no idea. But I hope I can live to see how this all wraps up.

Next I watched the season finale of HEROES, a wonderful season finale. Surprising how much the show's audience has fallen off, and yet the last month of the show was every bit as good as the first season that was so popular.

And I skimmed through today's thoroughly dull AS THE WORLD TURNS. A lot of yada yada yada Holden-being-a-baby stuff wanting his way. Doesn't he know that's the SUREST way to push Lily toward Damien? Sheesh!

I must rush through the rest of my afternoon surf since SOME of the Fox BDs finally showed up and I must get THE WRESTLER done today. (Alas, no BRIDE WARS.) So, my long range plan for handling this overdue discs will have to be adjusted somewhat.

Interesting stats: For the House Of Flowers eBlast, of the close to 1800 people on the Kritzerland list exactly 788 have bothered to actually open the e-mail.  I find that so weird - the people on the list have either asked to be there or have purchased other soundtracks or B'way-related CDs from us, and the header clearly states that the e-mail has info about a new CD release, so it's a little peculiar.  We do get the usual "out of office" or "on vacation" replies, but those aren't very many.

Some of these may have gone into SPAM filters.  I recently discovered that for some odd reason some of the email my mother in law sent me was going  into SPAM

We can't figure the ryhme or reason to it, it doesn't seem to matter whether they had attachments or not and she always sends from the same email address from the same computer

I finished packing this morning, and then headed out for a bit to run some pre-trip errands.  My train doesn't leave until 4:00, so I still have a few hours to "edit" my luggage and to draw up my list of "Chicago possibilities".  I do know that I will be spending a few hours at the Art Institute of Chicago. Other than that, I'm basically playing it by ear.  I'll be staying with my friend, David, and he's mentioned a few places he'd like to show me.  It also looks like there will be a mini-Theatre-VCU reunion on Saturday or Sunday.  :)

Go to the Leather Museum!

Is that the official name of the "The Eagle"?

I don't believe so.

Heading down now to watch THE WRESTLER on Blu-ray. Then as many bonus features as I can squeeze in and then prime time TV. Busy night!

Also BK, are you sure they are all "good" email addresses?

And finally, some people may be like me - when I am working fulltime I sometimes go days, even weeks, without checking my email since I cannot do it from work and since I share a computer with two other people at home I do not always have an opportunity to sign on and check my email

Speaking of restorations, Mr. Larry Moore, did you have anything to do with restoring Robert Russell Bennett's original orchestrations for

The King and I

which will be playing at Lyric Stages in Irving, TX?

Well, since you asked, I proofread the new vocal score with the new full score.
