We saw the lovely staged reading of THE GRAND TOUR at the York, starring Jason Graae, Nancy Anderson and James Barbour.

Today on the way home from church I passed a garage sale and having three dollars burning a hole in my pocket I decided to stop

I am now the proud owner of Laurie Beechman's "No One is Alone" CD produced by our very own BK

I listened to it as soon as I got home - it is wonderful!

The Vixter says HELLO!! and that she misses you all!

The Vixter certainly deserves a nomination as "Daughter of the Year."

  I must agree!

I don't want to go back to work tomorrow!

I wish I had a job I didn't want to go to!        :-\

Well, now you have time to write your first show - a sequel to "In The Heights" - "In The Dumps"!

Then I brought the Vixter to our church so she could practice for this Friday night's performance at our annual  WELCA (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) dinner

When I came to pick her up I saw the last half of her rehearsal singing Taylor the Latte Boy

She was really funny - they were trying to get one of the boys in the church to sing the response song but none of them felt confident enough to do it

Hi, DR Vixmom!  Tell The Vixter that we miss her, too - I hope she has some time to spend with us here when school's out for the summer.

I was wondering why I feel so tired - well, it is 10pm, after all, and I've been up since 5:30am.  It's been a full day and I think it's time to crash.

'night!

BK - I sympathize with your construction woes - here we are suffering with the annual motorcycle morons -

They wait until about 1 AM and then spend the next two hours racing up and down the street in front of my house - my neighbor across the street admitted  having thoughts at 2 AM of stringing  a  100 lb test line fishing line from his telephone pole to ours  - it was much more creative and effective than my thought of throwing rocks at them as they drove past

Ubfortunaltey as we are both rational human beings we will continue to endure being woken in the wee hours by these inconsiderate  morons

-Walk around the Central Park Reservoir for the first time in a long time - CHECK!

It was another beautiful, sunny and warm day here in NYC as DR Ben mentioned earlier. And I did indeed head down to Central Park to take a walk around the Reservoir.  It was just what I needed.  It's always nice to BREATHE again.

Isn't drag racing illegal? Have you called the police? Or do the morons manage to clear out when they see and/or hear the cop cars coming down the road?

DR vixmom - Just be sure to take a few seconds throughout each day at work to close your eyes and relax.  A little de-stressing throughout the day is a very good thing.

I've fallen asleep three times already.  And I'm still logey and tired.  Ah, well, I'll be up bright and early and jogging and that should perk me right up.

-Walk across the Park to the East Side to see where all the noise was coming from - CHECK!

And once I got to the East Meadow, I found myself in the middle of the Japan Day celebration.  I had always wanted to attend Japan Day, and, of course, the one year that I didn't see any ads for it, I just happen to stumble upon it by chance.

They had a big stage set up, and different performers were scheduled throughout the day.  Around the perimeter, they had different booths set up featuring a different aspect of culture, everything from origami to harajuku, to basket weaving, to kimono folding.  And, of course, they also had food...

Now this was the most interesting part of the celebration to me - and not for the reason you may be thinking right now.  They had different stations set up serving different foods: miso soup, udon noodles, teriyaki, sushi, etc.  Each station had their own line, and there was a volunteer holding up a sign indicating where the the end of each line was.  I really wasn't hungry at the time, and the lines were quite long, but I noticed that no one was handing any money over to the servers.  So, I asked one of the line volunteers where to buy a wristband or food tickets: "All the food is free."  WOW!!  There were a LOT of people, and there was a LOT of food being served.

I guess in a way thought could be the companion piece to "A Woman Is A Sometime Thing".

Thwy do clear out when the cops show up  - we do not know where tehy come from but we figure they must be local - what we really need is a cop to stake out the area to catch them in the act  but it simply isn't  an important enough issue to use the manpower -

The other girls are all smokers and they take a few breaks during the day to stand outside and smoke - so I take a couple of breaks to stand outside and drink some water
