I must be in a murder mystery mode.  My brain worked out a very elaborate plot in a dream last night.  But now, of course, I can't remember much of it.

DR George, thanks for the link.  It was very interesting reading about your director's "take" on updating Romeo & Juliet.

From Yesterday

DR Jose

I did not have the opportunity to go to orlando to see Faith P and Davis G in Sweeney Todd. Although when I saw her in concert she mentioned she was going to do it and she sang one (No One is Going To harm You) and maybe a second song.

She is sooo good. I love seeing her cabaret show.

I'm off soon to the Starr Foundation for a morning presentation then it's back to the office to review a file from two of my colleagues.

Tomorrow I don't have any presentations but I have to work on the file and then I'm leaving at 12:30 for Long Island.

I'm sure the time at Fred and Skip's will be sparkling. If you talk about me be nice  8)

It is beginning to seem that JMK may have been on to something, even if he may have said it partly in jest:  that the noticeable slew of 1-star bad ratings for my YouTube's seems to routinely happen after I post the link on the castrecl list.  I'm testing this right now by having waited a few days to post to catrecl with the Carolina video, but now i'm doing it at a time where there are 27 rating at a 4-1/2 star average, so any damage won't hit as hard if it's only two or three people doing it.

ASK BK #2

What about Composer Demos for well known shows like

Kander/Ebb         Chicago
Styne/Merrill        Funny Girl

with songs cut prior to Broadway and songs that did make it to Broadway but had different lyrics.

I think I ordered COPS & ROBBERS as an investment Kritzerland release....but the new releases also sound intriguing.  As long as people stay interested in knowing the future, I can keep buying the new releases.

Christine Lahti will join the cast of the long-running NBC hit Law & Order: SVU for four episodes next season as an assistant district attorney.

Stephanie March will also return for 10 episodes as ADA Alexandra Cabot.

My question for BK:

One of my all-time favorite movie scores is RUN OF THE ARROW by Victor Young.  I think it was his last.

Any chance of ever seeing that soundtrack out on CD, either by Kritzerland or somebody else?

Wednesday morning greetings!  How did it get to be July already?  Hard to believe I've been retired for half a year.

Here is a new show out at Universal - Florida I guess.  I am hoping NO ONE involved has Broadway aspirations.  They obviously never saw the original CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON.

Good morning, all! I just had a wonderful call from my beloved sister-in-law and chef par excellence Jo. She and Randy fly to Seattle tomorrow morning for a cruise up the coast to Alaska. This was a reip my dad wanted to take fro years and never accomplished, so Randy and Jo are doing it for him. After the cruise, they're doing a tour of Western US historical sites, and I hope they have a great time. I hope they have a great time.

This morning, I'm down to Toyland for some work, then back here to update all my footnotes and bibliography for the Main Report on Babes in Toyland. Part of the week as well must be given over to updating the recording notes on Babes In Toyland and Lady of the Slipper. I keep thinking that I'm signing off on this score and it doesn't happen!

I forgot to sign up on virtual line this morning. Oy!
