I'm wondering if some stupid, ignoramus animal crawled somewhere and died from the heat, because it's starting to smell a little gross in here - it happened last year - never did find the sucker, but it didn't last all that long.   Or maybe it's something else.

I do not love spending my Sunday doing all this addressing.  I may just hold the rest until tomorrow or Tuesday, since I know the CDs won't actually be here till later Wednesday or early Thursday.

Sunday afternoon greetings.  We have just come from the hospital, where John is quite unresponsive today.  They were about to do an EEG and an MRI when we left.  Mega-vibes would be appreciated.

Oh, DR Ginny - I am sorry.  Things were looking so positive.  I am sure the medical staff on hand will do all that they can.

I've already decided to stick with the first season of Lost and figured Mr. Bender would be along for the ride.  Did J.J. Abrams at least stay with this series for a while?  That's what happened on Alias - he left after season two, I think, and that show, despite an occasional good episode, really went to hell.

No, he didn't really stay with the series, but the show was always a collaboration between him and Damon Lindelof, and Damon and Carlton Cuse have been the mainstays of the show throughout, so there is a consistency of storytelling, a through-line that ALIAS simply did not have.

In its fifth season, the show is now more sci-fi than some might like, but the storytelling with these characters is as riveting as ever for me and millions of others.

I posted this last night, but I don't think TCB saw it.

Mostly Antonia and Elmore, with an appearance by Skip.

I watched THE FASHION SHOW while I ate, and I was very pleased with the three finalists. I did think their collections were the three best. I was a bit surprised by the one who was voted off, not with the vote but with the collection which I found disappointing. Flashy, yes, but not appealing and very costumey.

I know who I want to win, but it's close. I certainly saw merit in all the designs.

Since it was cued up in the player, I went ahead and watched the last VERONICA MARS episode on disc five. Veronica was trying to keep a friend from being blackmailed by her boy friend to stay with him and learns a little something about what happened the night she was drugged and raped.

Then I watched the second half of GONE WITH THE WIND, and very typically I was awash in tears by the end of it. What with Scarlett's miscarriage, Bonnie's accident, and Melanie's death happening bing-bing-bing right near the end of the movie, it's a great deal of emotion crammed into a half hour.

While I was folding clothes, I was channel skipping between EAGLE EYE and THERE WILL BE BLOOD. I have both on disc, so I didn't feel the need to linger on them.

I like to do something nice for someone in honor of OzDerek on his birthday, but today has been church all morning. And it is hot outside now and I don't want to go out again. Whine.

Cillaliz, no rain last night.

And I saw that Accuweather was showing rain here, too.

Got a couple of things to finish up with the computer, and then I'll be heading down to clean the master bath, put away the folded laundry, and then back to the home theater for more viewing.

I've addressed all packages all by my lonesome.  I've affixed postage on all but the multiples - I'll do those tomorrow, and then all I need to do is put the CDs in the packages when they arrive.
