IT MAY HAVE BEEN MENTIONED.....

But Barnes and Nobel is having a 50% off sale of their Criterion collection. I bought the original German version of 3Penny Opera and Wages of Fear for my father's birthday present.

Sale ends on July 31st.

I'm up pre-noise.  I had an amazon e-mail this morning for their Gold Box - the complete Twilight Zone, all the episodes in one huge set - the newly remastered ones, originally priced three hundred buck, now costing 100 bucks.  Quite a deal.

The flowers that arrived yesterday morning were from John McGlinn's sisiter Lorin, and they're quite lovely. DR Jose unpacked them for me yesterday afternoon.

Off to the pharmacy.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I've been up for a while.  Sorta.

I was supposed to be up and out of the apartment by now, but then I got a call around 8:30 saying that the person I was supposed to meet at 10:00 was dealing with no electricity in his office.  So I went back to bed and grabbed a few more winks, and I'm just waiting for the call to go ahead and head on down. In the meantime...

I am working the next three days.

The technical director at the theatre has everything fixed so that NO ONE knows how to do anything except him, and so we wait....until he decides he wants to come in and do anything.  And of course everyone complains to me and asks me questions.

I hate that!  I hate that now we are so TIED to sound that we can't really move to the next level until ONE person decides he has time to come in.

Couldn't someone just "accidentally" disconnect some cables and/or "accidentally" erase some of the programming?  Then wouldn't the technical director have to come in to fix all of that?

::)

*Or just give everyone the technical director's cellphone number so that they call him with their questions.

DR Michael S - Whew! -However, glad to see that you finally made it to Montreal.

*If I'm remembering correctly, the "free" internet access at PHL is only free on the weekends. Otherwise, during the week, you have to purchase a daily (or monthly) pass.  However, if you are a student and present your student ID, you can get a code for free internet access.

DR Michael S - Keep in mind that PHL is basically right "across" from EWR, LGA and JFK, and I don't think I need to fill you in on how prone those airports are prone to weather delays. But again, it's weather.  We're all at Mother Nature's whim whenever and wherever we fly.

Friday morning greetings!  I'm staying out of Richard's way as he prepares to leave for Indiana for a clergy conference.  We'll meet in Lima tomorrow evening, after I attend a seminar titled, "So You Want to be a Chautauqua Performer," in Centerville, OH, tomorrow afternoon.

Many vibes out to DR Elmore and his assistants.

And many vibes out to that family that Cillliz is helping. How tragic for them.

For anyone who happened to get all of "So You Think You Can Dance?" on their DVR/TiVo last night...

Was it listed in the final credits that the arrangement of "Get Happy" that Katie Holmes sang(?) (and danced(?)) was "borrowed" from Nelson Riddle's arrangement for Ella Fitzgerald's "Harold Arlen Songbook"?

*Also, do you think Michael Bennett is rolling in his grave? ;)

I have the afternoon off and I would like to go see a movie but there is nothing at my local movieplex that I want to see that I haven't seen.  I'm wondering if it would be worth it to make my way across town or drive twenty miles to go see something like THE HURT LOCKER or WHATEVER WORKS...

I'll check if i remember.

Btw, was anyone surprsied by who went home?

I still say that the choreography helped a couple people out a lot.

One thing that bugged me re: the girl that went home. Nigel said she was his favorite and that he was hoping she'd win. Well i know sometimes viewers backlash against that. But if she was nigel's favorite maybe he could have given the viewers some indication of that. I personally never felt that she was even one of his favorites.

I'm curious is that thing DR TCB posted about GHOST WHISPERER 100% for sure? When i read about it a while ago i didn't think it was for sure. Maybe now it is?

My first reaction I think is similar to most fans - not thrilled about it. I love watching melinda pregnant and would like to see how that progresses and what happens now with her and "jim". I guess maybe they will do flashbacks. And just want us to be able to see the kid do stuff. I wonder who they will cast as the kid?

I'm torn, torn, torn.

I bought the MGM (U.A. titles) box from FSM....and have both "The Fortune Cookie" and "The Apartment."  My dilemma is having a hole in my Kritzerland collection....sort of like what happened when I didn't buy FSM's re-do of "The Omega Man."

So many titles coming at me from all directions...and wanting them all...and having to make big choices when it comes to re-dos in different collections.

Sigh.
