I just posted a blog about how I never go to movie theatres anymore and about the bad manners creeping into the live theatre as well.

http://poguespages.blogspot.com

What a great rant!!  Much needed, and spot-on.

...but it's a start.

As the song says, this could be the start of something BIG!!     :D

Possibly.

I have been enjoying the pictures of DR DAW in MAN OF LA MANCHA on his Facebook page, I think he posted one of them here some time ago.  Most enjoyable and excellent.

I agree!  And I also enjoyed reading "The 15 Golden Rules of Theatre Etiquette," that CP mentioned.

Thanks for the thumbs up, guys!  But you should comment over on my blog spot too.  It encourages the shy ones to comment as well.

I am playing Jonathan in September's production of ARSENIC AND OLD LACE and I am working on my scar.....no makeup on it yet...and the shadow of my glasses is in the way....but it's a start.

I love the role of Jonathan.  I have played it twice.

JRand, it took me a little while to figure out what part of the body I was seeing.

I have seen four movies in a theater in the last sixteen years.  I don't enjoy the rudeness of the other patrons (oldsters are just as rude as youngsters), I don't enjoy the prices, and when the lights go out it is one of the times that my agoraphobia takes hold.  It also takes place at live theater productions, but not as severely as in movie theaters.

I am glad I checked my spelling, I first wrote agraphobia (fear of sexual abuse), which would probably be a different type of movie theater.

Nope, just commenting - I don't date married men anymore (I don't date them any less).  I thought it might be rude to have placed a question mark after the "Really."

I still go to movies at movie theatres, but I refuse to go on a Friday or Saturday night when the real morons are out there.  I generally keep my movie-going to the weekdays.

I am not at work today.  I got a headache yesterday afternoon that wouldn't go away.  I am sure the heat last night did not help.

I enjoy going to the movies every now and then and I rarely have come across rude patrons, thankfully. I usually will go to a matinee, however, and as DanTheMan mentioned, maybe certain times or days are worse then others.

The prices are steep, I admit, so it has to be a particularly special film for me to go out to see it. I really do enjoy seeing a comedy in a theater full of people.

Mine arrived today, too!  I think being able to have it sent to my work gets it here to Tumwater a day or two sooner. :D

I did the "what American accent do you have?" just for fun.

It says: the west (i.e., nobody thinks you really have an accent at all).

I don't go to the movie theatres that often anymore. Although the theatres around here that i do go to are very nice (with the raised stadium seating).

Here the movies are $5 on tuesdays. So that is mostly the day i would go. Although i had a bunch of free movie passes a few months ago. So i went a few times then.

TCB, I use Aleve with a full glass of water. (It doesn't seem to work as well without the water.)
