I have always loved the Basil Rathbone SHERLOCK HOLMES films, maybe because I grew up watching them. My favorites are probably THE ADVENTURES OF SHERLOCK HOLMES, THE VOICE OF TERROR, and THE SCARLET CLAW. When I was younger, it never occurred to me that the Nazis that Rathbone fought in the VOICE OF TERROR were from a different era. I just loved the characters and the mysteries.
I also appeared in the play THE CRUCIFER OF BLOOD, but neither Mr. Heston, nor Mr. Pogue was in my production. But as I have stated before, my college roommate was in the original Broadway cast of the show. It really stunned me when I opened my script for the first time and found Martin's name listed in the cast.
