I'm about an hour ahead of my usual daily routine, but I'm going to head downstairs now and perhaps watch some stuff before starting lunch.

And they just changed the lyric to one of the songs in Altar Boyz from "beeping" to:

"I felt a vibrating feeling on the belt loop of my pants.
Jesus tweeted on my twitter, a message texted from above"

Happy Birthday to DR td!

Thanks to all for the dry vibes.  The water did come within about 3 feet of my house, but then receded - sort of like my hair - and finally went down the storm drain.  After the street dept showed up and removed the debris from the drain.  And threw it in my front yard.

I also have two new garbage cans, a white bucket, and a Big Wheel.

At last rehearsal last night, the cast gave me an autographed poster from the years ago Robert Goulet tour of MAN OF LA MANCHA.  I bought a frame for it and will put it in the lobby!

Tonight is opening night.....I sell tickets at 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. - so hopefully the boys won't go too crazy with the makeup until I can get back there to supervise.  My nightmare once again is that I will have at two muleteers who look like Carol Channing.

A storm system is moving into the Bay Area from the Gulf of Alaska.

Forecast:  COOLER than we've been experiencing.

BK of course is no stranger to Dan O'Herlihy roles, having played the role of Grig (portrayed by Dan O'Herlihy on screen) in the NYMF 2006 presentations of the LAST STARFIGHTER musical.

TOD:

"Last Summer" (wonderful Frank Perry film)

"The Blue Lagoon" (for the brilliant photography and stunning music score)

"From Here to Eternity" (for that wonderful beach scene with Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr)

BK played Grig in 2006?  I didn't know he performed at NYMF, as well!  How did I not know this?  Or did I know it and, due to age, forgot?

Does "twitter" being down mean that the service is now "twitterwaited"?

And are all the folks anxiously awaiting its restoration currently "twitterpated"?

It appears that Twitter is having to "defend" itself from a "denial of service attack".

Well... At least it sounds cool.

*And I really am wondering if the current slowdown and glitches over at Facebook right now are related to the same "attack".  Guess I should check out Digg, Tumblr, etc.

Today is Thursday, August 7th.  OMG, where has this year gone????????

This is my final work day of this week as I am taking a well-earned (if not well-deserved) day off tomorrow.

Doesn't the fact that this glitch has no impact on your life leave you all "a-twitter", as it were?
