I took a friend to the airport this morning, and we had about 7 minutes of real rain.  Rain-- at least I think that's what they call those drops of water falling out of the sky.  Right?

I actually slept until nine.  Hoo and ray.  Then I had to print out a LOT of orders for the Hefti release, and respond to many e-mails, including a bunch congratulating us on the Hefti release, which looks like it will be very popular with the populace.

I'll add to the lists of beach movies, one of the oddest ever made, but one I'm fond of in a weird way - Can Hieronymous Merkin Ever Forget Mercy Humppe And Find True Happiness.

Twitter is still down for me
DR DtM - watching the film suggested by DR MBARNUM yesterday will calm you down.

FROM HELL IT CAME made it too easy for reviewers.....

I didn't think those super 8mm movies got reviewed.

TD, HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS, WHICH YOU SHARE WITH MY DS BETSY.

In fact, I must order flowers to be delivered to her office.  This is a "biggie," if you catch my drift.  ;)

I am a bit nervous about the reception of the show this evening.  It's very different from KISS ME KATE and FOOTLOOSE and SINGIN' IN THE RAIN.

But I also have great confidence in our audiences.....we shall see.

Simply have Dulcinea sing ALWAYS TRUE TO YOU IN MY FASHION to Quixote and all will be well.

Oh!

It's Judy Garland Day on TCM. :)

And it's not even her birthday.

But we don't get Turner (we don't even have cable anymore) and Anthony has seen every single Garland movie more than once anyway.

Speaking of which, we are heading over to Chelsea Cinemas this evening to catch a viewing of

The Harvey Girls

I've seen it also but neither of us has seen it on a large screen.

Brini Maxwell

is the Summer Guest Host while dear

Hedda Lettuce

is in Provincetown for the summer.

A good time is expected to be had by all

THE HARVEY GIRLS is very colorful and I love Judy and Angela Lansbury and Marjorie Main...and John Hodiak....but Ray Bolger on the BIG screen might be more than I can take.
