And unless those Fox or Disney Blu-rays appear tomorrow (or THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW on DVD), I'll be starting on that mountain of Criterion discs due on February 16th. I'll begin with Lola Montes on DVD (I have the Blu-ray version, too). I cannot wait to see this film in the longest version they currently have - 115 minutes. Not the original version, of course, but better than the chopped up 90 minute English dubbed version I saw eons ago.

DR Jose, did you see my salt and peppers last night? I posted them just for you, seeing as how you appreciate a well stocked kitchen.

As I said when you dsplayed your Christmas collection, your house is the Land Where The Good Tchochkes Go when they die.

:P I just watched the first 10 minues of Skate for the Heart on NBC.  If I wanted to watch American Idol, I'd watch American Idol.

Back to finishing The Lost Symbol.

I'll be finishing up some writing chores here and then heading downstairs to finish BARNABY JONES and go on to other things.

Had a nice lunch and visit with my friend.  And now I shall try to write at least five pages.

I just finished my New York taxes and will mail them tomorrow. I did the rough draft of my Federal taxes and I'm about to go on line and file them. I did it this way last year and all went well. I hope the same applies this year.

I'm listening to Claire Teal on BBC 2 as I do my taxes.

DR Jose, thanks and as to your question last night.  No, I do not have to return the paintings. They were a gift. That still amazes me

Wow, DR Cillaliz that is awesome about the painting.

Thanks Jennifer.   I don't think I mentioned this, but Jamie paints on doors, old hollow core doors mostly. He also paints on other things, but he likes the doors because he can do a lot with texture

I've done eleven pages.  I think that will do for now, and maybe I'll write three more later tonight.  I'm about to enter 1983, which was a very interesting year for many, many reasons.

Today Mae-Ling and Wae-Ling spent the day with us. We went to church, then out to a hole-in-the-wall pizza/sub place for lunch. Then we made bird suet, fed the fish and played in the water, then made some pear-applesauce.

Oh, yes, I did, DR MBarnum.  My apologies for not acknowledging and thanking you earlier for posting those pics. That's quite an "everyday" collection.  -Are they all filled? Or do you keep one or two or three sets filled for everyday use?

Just the ones resting on the sombrero man.

Grate a pear and apple, add a very small amount of water and some cinnamon sugar. Cook it up on the stove a while, then whirl it a few whirls in the Magic Bullet.

I suppose we could have just chopped the fruit, but grating them kept them busy for a nice long time.

I didn't get any -- Mae-Ling, Wae-Ling, and Sandra ate it. There were only a few spoonfuls.
