Well, I'd rather stay here and chat with everybody, but I have to go drink tea and hear about Botswana.  Seriously.

Bye for now.

BK, I don't think people are tired of the site, I just think that people get busy with life sometimes and don't have time to stop in

I emailed Craig & asked their total.  I also sent him the photo of Miss Dixie Bell in the snow :)

Here's a little easier to see version of Druxy's mystery  man.  I am stumped.

I can't believe how late it is.  I'm really dragging today-haven't done my exercises.  Guess I shouldn't dawdle any longer.  Soon it will be time to do them again.

Okay, maybe it was a bit difficult...if not impossible.

It's Rod Whitaker (aka: Trevanian).

He wrote THE EIGER SANCTION among other things.

During my Freshman year at the UW, he was going for his Masters in Drama.

That year, he also conceived and directed a 1-hour local (educational) TV production of HAMLET.

John Gilbert, later of the Seattle Rep, was Hamlet, Marian Hailey (credits include the movie LOVERS AND OTHER STRANGERS , and a TV version of HARVEY w/Jimmy Stewart) was Ophelia and I played Osric.

Those were the days....

Just wanted to say that after twenty-four hours without phone, television or internet:  IT'S FRAKKIN' AWESOME TO BE BACK!
Oh, and there's twenty-four inches of snow in my yard.

I hope you had heat. And if you didn't then, I hope you have it now.

This is the very thing that makes me despise winter weather. We truly are at the mercy of the elements no matter how many precautions we take.

I revisted I. Claudius last night - we had watched the first six episode last week and yesterday watched the last 7

I did that one year for the Super Bowl. How I ADORE this series, my second favorite miniseries of all time apart from ELIZABETH R.

I got all nine of the MARY MOORE episodes watched. I did three before lunch, took a break and watched something else while I ate lunch, and then finished up the final six this afternoon.

The greatest comedy series of all time, I think. Loved every episode when I first saw them and loved every episode on this go-round.

While I ate lunch, I watched SUPERNATURAL Of course, I had to watch it in lowly SD since the CW affiliate preempted it for ACC basketball (and the ACC isn't even very good this year), and they recorded the SD version to show early in the morning.

Good episode, another with Sam and Dean meeting up with their parents in the past before they were actually born, trying to protect them from an avenging angel. In some ways a beautiful episode, very heartfelt as the two sons beg their mother to flee making it entirely possible they wouldn't even be born.

After I finished MARY, I had time to watch another episode of ROME from the first season (I have the complete series on Blu-ray). This was episode 7 detailing the final defeat of Pompey and his later assassination. Great historical fiction series.

I am so excited about seeing THE MUSIC MAN in a little while. It's a present to myself for working so hard this week with all of these Fox releases.

OK, going to finish up some items here on the computer and then head back down to put away the folded laundry and then settle in with one of the great 60s musicals - MEREDITH WILLSON'S THE MUSIC MAN.

Back from delivering a box o' CDs and some lunch.  I'm tired, so I think I'll go right to the couch and watch some stuff.  I think another couple of Sopranos episodes to start, and then maybe the original Fame, or Paris, Texas, or something called The Time Travelers Wife.

I'm at home watching "The Bonnie Hunt Show."  I love Bonnie.  I'm sad that her show was canceled. :'(

At least, she'll still be on until May.

This hasn't been mentioned here yet, but Jazz musician Sir John Dankworth dies at 82. :(

Yesterday was "Pet Adoption Day" on The Bonnie Hunt Show...that REALLY makes me want to get a dog, and I have a cat! ;D

BK, was this the film about which you were raving a few weeks ago?:

http://www.amazon.com/Red-Cliff-International-Version-Blu-ray/dp/B0030A6ID0?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1265576661&sr=1-1&tag=blurayforum-20

Yes, and that's the version to get, not the cut down version.
