So, I wonder if any of the reviews of "Anyone Can Whistle" and "The Addams Family" will note the similiarity of themes in both shows dealing with conformity and what's deemed normal. Probably not. I was shocked among the reviews to read John Simon's four-star piece on the latter. Probably the most positive review of the lot.

I've only seen two reviews so far (I haven't read CastRecL yet) but they don't reference Whistle but they both reference La Cage.

As I was saying...

I just came back from a walk along the Schuylkill River Trail.  I wish I had my camera...

And just how does one pronounce, "Schuylkill"?

It's generally pronounced "Skoo - kull" but the correct Dutch pronunciation is "Skowl - kill"

Thank You.  -Which is pronounced "Thank You".  ;)

Digits crossed, but it looks like by the end of this very day the galley and covers will be approved for the new book - they just had to fix two little things, which I'll see when I get back from my lunch meeting (the upside of the Internet) - I'll then approve, and then, in the next five to seven days,  I'll have the test copies of the book.   So, I think we'll make this available for pre-order right here at haineshisway.com within the next few days - it will be on the Kritzerland site - and unless one comes to a signing, will be the only way to get a signed copy with a special something.

I don't get it. Bretty Spaghetti left because George lost his check book?

I think a post must have been deleted, or something.

I have today off. I just returned from a free visit (I have a two week pass) to the recently opened ANYTIME FITNESS. It is closer to my home then the two GOLD'S gyms, so I am checking it out to see if I am likely to use it more should I decide to join.

Oy! This morning I have to put up with the dog above me barking. Oh, for euthanasia! I am very happy that i'm heading down to Toyland now. It will soothe my murderous thoughts.

Is he as kosher as his master?

I don't know how kosher my neighbor is. I know he's Jewish and I care to know little more as long as the ass continues to be inconsiderate and noisy between the hours of midnight and 4 am.

That's why Bretty Spaghetti left?  Amazing.

Bretty Spaghetti seems to only appear on this site at his own whim; as I recall, it's usually for an approximate 6-week period early in the year.

I had a great lunch with Joseph and we discussed a lot of topics, from the LoC Victor Herbert Collection to this restoration of THE WIZARD OF OZ. I think I've convinced him to see ANYONE CAN WHISTLE tomorrow night.

I've finished all my "Evaline McCook" corrections, and now I'm back to Montgomery & Stone.

I want to see DATE NIGHT.
