I think doing the all Broadway shows is a great idea and especially an all Grease one. Now to do it in NYC where it should do great; isn't there an outdoor version in Shubert Alley. I've never been to it so i don't know if it is the same thing or not

Poor Sherlock whimpers occasionally and doesn't understand why his dinner was so small.  Keith will finish feeding him in a little bit after we know he has kept down the first bit of food.  We came home with an antibiotic and two different pain meds for him.

From not on we are checking his tail for little bumps.  If he gets a growth there again we want it off ASAP while it is tiny & fairly easy to remove.

As for the Promises Promises tour here are the names I have

Tony Roberts
Melissa Hart (Fran)
Bob Holiday (Sheldrake)
Jack Kruchen (Dr. Dreyfus)
Kelly Britt (Marge)

Kelly also did it in London and was replaced by Julia McKenzie

I wonder if Betty Buckley or Tony Roberts have been told about the London Promises, Promises reissue.

Just curious.

The Shubert Alley thing is very different, confusing, and not friendly.  We'd take a big room at a nice hotel - the idea is to do it here, and then travel it.

I really like the idea. For example you can have a L'il Abner table. You can include Charlotte Rae, Billie Hayes (Both played Mama Yokum on Broadway) Tina Louise, Julie Newmar, Peter Palmer Carmen Alvarez, Tony Mordente (some cross over from the tv crowd) and from the movie version Stella Stevens, Valerie Harper, Beth Howland and your beloved Julie Parrish

Sherlock is not bothered in the least by thunder.  We just walked him around trying to get him to potty.

At least tonight there is a little rain with the thunder.  Since we also have lighting we could use a lot more rain, as long as it waits until after Sherlock's last trip out for the night.

I'm feeling better.  I was very irritated this afternoon at little things that shouldn't irritate me.  I'm going to have to do a little apologizing tomorrow

I doubt Charlotte Rae wants anything to do with LI'L ABNER or Billie Hayes.

Rob and I are back from a fun outing to Dorothy Lamour Lane Market with my mom and the cousins. We had lunch there - everybody made selections from the deli/salad bar and we ate on the mezzanine.  Then we shopped and took Mom and the cousins back to Otterbein.  I'm ready for a nap.

Oh, guess what WAS in my email when I returned!

A bill?

No DR TCB, it was the announcement for the Aug. 3 meeting for which I'd finally secured a speaker last Thursday.  The person responsible for sending out the message nagged prompted me for the info all last week and then seemed to sit on it for 4 days before distributing it.  Come to find out she had a family emergency that required a sudden trip overseas.  I think she send the message from India.

May I just say that a certain PR firm in NYC whose name includes the word "Helper" is laughably UN-helpful.

The Los Angeles branch is much more helpful.

I lost 65 lbs between January1, 2008 and August 16 2008  I joined the gym,(and actually went  and worked out  6 days  a week) cut out sugar, candy, ice cream, cake cookies etc etc - ate a lot of fruit  and veggies

I lost another 35 lbs between December 2008 and March 2009 -

I had a feeding tube inserted and only  ingested liquid sustanance -- effective but i di not recommend it

Since March 2009 and now I have gained about 35 lbs --- oops I meant to stop at 25 ... I ate whatever I darn well felt like!!

I actually still belong to a gym but have failed in the vital step of actually attending said gym and partaking of the activities therein
